Bullying is a type of aggressive behavior Repeated behavior: It always occurs more
than once The treatment is intentional Bullying is hurtful and very unkind There is an imbalance of power and the
victim most times can’t defend himself

The first is physical bullying
There is also verbal and written bullying
Third there is social bullying
Last there is cyber bullying
The Types of Bullying
Hitting, slapping, elbowing, shoving, kicking, pinching or restraining
Stealing or damaging another person’s property
Physical bullying
One kind of verbal bullying is name calling
Making racist or rude remarks about someone
Intimidating graffiti Whispering rude comments behind
someone’s back

Being teased over and over Threats and intimidation Mean notes Mean graffiti

Encourage a positive attitude Build students’ self-esteem Give them opportunities to shine Teach leadership skills

Identify possible targets Look for warning signs On-the-spot responding by all school staff, no bullying will be tolerated
