PSAT will be administered Wednesday, Oct 11th. Students need to sign up in
the office no later than Tuesday, Oct. 3rd. The cost is $15 (cash or
check). This is open to all 9th, 10th, & 11th grade students.
I will be offering an opportunity for Seniors to finish up their TSI requirements
on the Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving (11-21 &11-21) The cost will
be $10/test and they will need to have taken 3 - Reading, Writing, and Math. If
your student is in Dual Credit courses they have already satisfied the Reading
and Writing requirement.
Beginning this year all Texas public high schools are required to provide an op-
portunity for all 10th, 11th & 12th grade students to take the ASVAB. This test
is a valuable tool in the area of career exploration for a student. It is also the
test used by the military for job placement. However, taking the ASVAB does
not obligate our students in any way in regards to military recruitment. I feel
this is a very valuable tool for all of our students and provides insight for them
when trying to match their abilities with their interests.
Tolar HS will be offering the ASVAB Wednesday, November 29, 2017. Any 10th-
12th grade student can sign up to take this test in the office.
