Prayer for World Mission Sunday
We pray to the Lord our pledge to preach with our youth the Gospel to everyone:
You call us to preach your Good News to all nations, in every situation!
Inspired by you, we come out from our churches and our houses to preach the Good News.
Inspired by our youth, their dreams and their questions, we are keen about your Mission.
Together, we will build a new Earth, which will be more just,
more in solidarity, and more fraternal. We will build relationships marked by trust,
Sharing, and openness to other people. We will not erect walls of division,
but we will build bridges to connect your large human family!
Amen!
Entrance Antiphon (Psalm 16.6,8) : To you I call; for you will surely heed me, O God; turn your ear to me; hear my words. Guard me as the apple of your eye; in the shadow of your wings protect me.

AN ENGAGING JOURNEY THROUGH THE BIBLE
World Mission Sunday
The worldwide collection today is for the missionary church and it is our opportunity to
assist at-need Catholic communities globally.
Offerings are combined with offerings from other Catholics
around the world and distributed to missions and dioceses. We are called to share from our abundance
with those less fortunate who lack the basic essentials to
know, love and praise our God.
Thank you for your support of this important work.

INVITATION TO DONATE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL 11729 AND MOVEMBER FOUNDATION
Each November men around the world grow mustaches and raise money for assisting in research in men’s health.
You know many men– fathers, brothers, cousins, uncles, priest and your neighbours. The Movember foundation in Canada works with two main partners Prostate Cancer Foundation and CAMH.
Men just typically don’t talk about these things. Our Knights have formed a team to support men’s health, and we hope that you will support this endeavor. For those
who wish to donate, kindly speak to a member of the Knights of Columbus. More details to follow!

PARISH YOUTH MINISTRY
N.B. For those who would like to assist/volunteer– please contact Bianca Hutchinson, the youth minister
EVENT I: EDGE NIGHT DATE: Friday, October 26th
TIME: 7 pm - 9 pm. FOR: Grade 6, 7 and 8 Students
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Ministry Fair.
Many of the ministries had very creative displays providing information about who they are and what volunteers do. The overwhelming amount of responses makes us all the more aware of how our parish is built by active parishioners sharing God’s gift of time and talents not because they have more but because they share the little they have by being ready to serve rather than waiting to be served. Many of you are doing the work of ministry every day without notice or public recognition.
On behalf of the parish and our community, we thank your dedication to our parish every day.
