TRANSCRIPT
Happy New Year! Looking back on 2020, my memories of this time evoke joy and
sadness, and sometimes both. We have each went through this Covid-19 Pandemic in our
own way, but hopefully with good health and wellbeing. Here, at the senior center, we
continue with Meals on Wheels, Food Commodities, transportation, keeping up with the
Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) “Gathering” updates,
organizing paperwork, and, of course, reports! I’m ready to implement activities when
we are able to gather again. If you have any ideas, please feel free to share with me via
an e-mail or a phone call. Until then, cheers to you and yours for a very happy, healthy,
and prosperous 2021!
On December 18, 2020, the MDHHS issued an update to its epidemic order. The new
order is effective until Friday, Jan. 15th, 2021. The order states that group exercise
classes will remain closed. Therefore, our 10:30 am Mondays Get Moving & 10:30
am Tuesdays & Thursdays Corn Hole Toss classes are suspended until at least
January 15th. The Huron Senior Bowling League also remains suspended. Please
watch for updates as January 15th approaches. Persons with suggestions and/or concerns
regarding The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Emergency Orders
are invited to submit their comments via e-mail to: [email protected].
At this time, with the limitations on gatherings, etc., there are NO plans for a January
2021 Huron Township Senior Citizens General Club Meeting. As a reminder, if you
are a current member with dues in good standing, your 2020 membership will carry over
to the 2021 year.. There have been a few additions and/or corrections to the 2020
Membership List. If you would like a copy of the addendum page, please let me know
and I will forward to you. Thank you for your help and insight to all of the General Club
Members & to the board members as well: Debra S., Arlene G., Laura H., Andy N.,
Pat N., Nancy P., Lois S., Olga S., and Sharon Z.
