    • Omo is claiming to bring the only light within Earth Hour. The
    • thought of using the Earth Hour is a good idea, but it does not
    • work with this product. There is no real connection with the
    • product.
    • This opportunity can backfire too easily for a brand like Omo
    • that is hardly seen as the biggest fighter for environmental
    • issues.
    • The competitive advantage would be in the case of Earth Hour
    • for a company that does pioneering work for a better
    • environment.
    • There seems not to be much of commercial value in this idea.
    • The idea in this advertisement is very weak and it seems like
    • a forced one.
    • There seems to be negative associations in this advertisement.
    • The glowing shirt raises questions about the chemicals used in
    • the washing powder. Who wants to have clothesthat glow?
    • Those associations also lead us to think if Omo is only
    • exploiting the happening that has a good cause. To do this ad I
    • would want to see Omo to contribute in some way to the Earth
    • Hour. Otherwise the outcome of this ad could be negative.
    • Also the moths flying around the man does not look like a
    • desirable thing to happen. Maybe it`s meant to be humorous.

    • This commercial opportunity is for two brands to combine and get more sales.
    • Marmite have partnered with Walkers to create a new flavour for crisps.

    • The two brands are benefitting on this
    • co-operation by possibly gaining new
    • customers from each other. The customers
    • that like Marmite but don`t usually eat crisps
    • might give crisps a try and end up liking them
    • and vice versa.
    • The idea is simple and concrete. It does not
    • need much of additional work to implement it.
    • New flavours probably increase sales for a
    • while at least and this one with bringing two
    • groups of maybe quite loyal customers
    • together has great potential. Maybe the
    • problem being the vide variety of flavours in
    • the category already and standing out from
    • them.

    • This tactic idea is so simple it seems like an obvious thing to do. It opens up a lot of questions. Such as why haven`t this been done earlier. It is a good example for why a business needs to keep an eye on every change in the field. Such as political issues.
    • This seems like a very effective way of stealing customers from the banks that don`t stay open on the weekends. The problem might be that other banks will follow and cannibalize the idea and thusthe end result might be negative due to the high cost of weekend labour.
    • The idea is very good but the big question is will it end up being a ball and a chain in the whole industry and make everybody lose in the long run. If all other banks will answer to this with similar ways there will be no more competitive advantage in the idea and it would end up eating away from the profits.
    • It also leaves a few questions open on the workers conditions and rights.
