Toyo Kohan a leader company of Japan and the world in high technology steel products

segment concluded a cooperation agreement in February 2012.

The foundations of Tosyalı Toyo Çelik A.Ş. which is to manufacture the first Turkish high

technology flat steel with high added value, were laid in January 2015 after preparation works

that took almost 3 years.

The facility in Osmaniye Organized Zone on an area of 250.000 m², has a total investment value

of 650 million dollars and the productions started at the facility as of December 2016.

This investment aims to eliminate Turkey’s dependence on foreign sources when it comes to

high technology steel products; a significant portion of the imported products are sourced

domestically after this investment and this contributes to reduce the current deficit.

The facilities have a rolling capacity of 1.0 million tons and employ approximately 800 people

to manufacture tin plates, galvanized, painted, cold rolled, pickled-oiled coils, slitted coils and

plates. The products to be used by a wide range of sectors from packing industry to electrical

household appliances, IT products to construction sector, white goods to automotive not only

meet the demand in Turkey but also in a vast geography from Europe to Caucasus, Middle East

to North Africa.
