    Asrecentlyasveyearsago,theinteroperabilitysituationinthebusinessclassvideoconerencingindustrywasanembarrassment.Even solutions rom diferent vendors that supposedly were

    usingstandardprotocolswouldhavetroubleconnectingwithullunctionality.Tingshavevastlyimprovedinrecentyears,and youcan reasonably expect a quality call between todaysstandards-basedsystemsromthetopvendors.Butwiththatinteroperabilityproblemgoingaway,newonesarearising.Wenolongerjustwanttocallromonestandardmeetingroomtoanother,wewanttoconnectwithanever-increasingvarietyooptions.Forexample,thereisgrowingdemandorconnectivitybetween the high-end, multi-screen, multi-codec telepresencerooms and basic meeting rooms. Between multi-screen andmulti-codec systems there are issues with interoperability tomaintaineye-lineandspatialaudio.Orbetweenmeetingroomsand desktop PC clients, tablets and smart phones. Not only

    must all o these disparate devices connect, they must do soinawaythatlendsitseltoacomortable,productive,meetingexperience.AcompellingB2Bprogramcantsimplyconnectourmeetingroomstoeachother;itshouldbeabletoconnectalloourworkerstoeachother,onthedeviceotheirchoosing.
