El subjuntivo con verbos de emociónAs you already know, we use the subjunctive after verbs indicatingsuggestions, desire, or demands. The subjunctive is also used after verbs andimpersonal phrases indicating emotion, such as ojalá que, temo que, tengomiedo de que, me alegro de que, me molesta que, me sorprende que, siento que,es triste que, and es bueno que, among others. A sentence in the subjunctivemode has two parts, the main clause and the subordinate clause. Both clausesare connected by the word que.
When the sentence has only one subject, we usually use the infinitive insteadof the subjunctive.

• ¿Cómo saludas a tus amigos? ¿Y a tus familiares?
