    1%1 The system6s descri!tion

The C-/1 is a computeriHed system !or sli:er processing o! plastic hard

"ood and so!t metal products. The system includes a rotating mill cutting

operated 6y a spindle 9C motor. The mill motor is located a6o:e a ta6le"hich is operated 6y a 9C motor "hich raises and lo"ers it.

    The processed material is installed on a ta6le "hich mo:es on t"o a0es >

and ?. In this "ay the processed material mo:es on the - plane and the

miller mo:es up and do"n >goes into and out o! the material? on a0is .

    The mo:ement o! each a0is is done 6y a 9C motor "hich includes a

    magnetic encoder "ith Fall

    according to the motor's rotation.

The system is located in a metal structure "ith a transparent door in the

!ront. The door operates a magnetic s"itch "hen it is closed.

The system includes a computeriHed control unit. The control unit operates

the motors recei:es the pulses !rom the encoders and operates the spindle

9C motor o! the miller. The system stops each time the !ront door is

    opened.

    * computeriHed system !or sli:er processing is called C+C >ComputeriHed

+umeric Control?. The system's controller recei:es data "hich determine

the processed material mo:ement and the mill cutter >location and speed?

and mo:es them accordingly in a controlled manner.

    * special language "as created !or C+C machines called G&M-Code. This

language is a uni:ersal language and despite this each machine has its o"n

uniue commands. This 6oo descri6es the C-/1 command set and the

    system's programming method.

The programming language ena6les us to create programming !iles "here

each !ile is designated to manu!acture a certain product >or part?. The !iles

are sa:ed in the computer's dis. In this "ay "e can manu!acture a certain

    The C+C system ena6les us to manu!acture the e0act amount o! products

"e need. *ll it taes is to load the computer "ith the appropriate !ile and

run the program. This process turned the manu!acturing signi!icantly

These machines are called )MS >)le0i6le Manu!acturing Systems?.

The C-/1 system is accompanied "ith the S-MI so!t"are. This

so!t"are ena6les us to create and edit a G&M-Code !ile and run it.

4unning the !ile can 6e done in t"o "ays 6y simulation or 6y operating

    the machine.

In the simulation method the so!t"are dra"s the mill's mo:ement on the
