This type you practise with a short board. It consist in slide standing in the wave on the board. Is directed by three keels located in the rear of the board

This type you practise with a board and also with a kite.

You slide in the water using for traction the kite.

The kite is hold to the man by four strings, two are fixed to a bar and the remaning two are passing through the center of the bar and attach to the body by an harness.

This type you practise with a foam board and also you use a pair of fins.

Is based on the slip on the surface even without breaking off the wave.

It also called boogie. There are two styles or ways of sliding on a boogie: - lying (prone). - kneeling with one leg (knee drop)

This type you practise with a board, a rope and a boat.

You have to slide on top of a board being pulled by a boat. The boat usually gets in 18 to 24 miles per hour.

The sport get its name from the wake left in the water pulled by the boat.

This type you practise with a foam board or also you can see it practising with a wood board.

You have to through the board in the shore and go sliding into the water jumping against the wave.

This type is the newest.

This type is very similar from the normal surf. Only that the longboard only have one keel .

This type are more for little waves.

Also you can make trucks like this one you can see in the fotograph.

This type you practise with a very long board, it can measure two meters or so. Also you can help with a paddle . You have to row with the paddle and take the wave. This one is the most relax and this board is for long waves.
