Schneider Electric Australia offers a suite of Educational Servicesdesigned for end users, engineers, system integrators, equipment

manufacturers, panel builders and educational establishments.

Our courses and programs provide you with hands-on experience,

leaving you feeling confident enough to design and configure your

own systems and applications using Schneider Electric products

    and solutions.

    Instructor-led Training

Schneider Electrics Educational Services provides multi-levelcourses or end users, engineers and system integrators. All authorised courses have a limited number o attendeesto ensure participating students get the most out o eachcourse and access to an experienced Instructor. Each studentis allocated with a PC which is pre-congured with relevantapplications and other sotware needed throughout the course.

WorkshopsWe also oer a number o specialised workshops delivered byour technical and solution specialists. These workshops canbe delivered at one o our local oces or on-site. Due to the

specialist nature o these workshops they are availableon request.

Custom On-site TrainingOur Schneider Electric Certied Instructors can deliver any oour listed courses on-site at your acility. In addition, we alsooer Site Specic Courses where you can include modulesrelevant to your organisation rom any o our existing trainingcourses. For certication purposes, an exam invigilationservice can also be provided on-site. You should discuss yourrequirements with your local Educational Services Managerand see how this might best be accomplished.

Self-Paced TrainingThe SCADA curriculum o instructor-led courses is alsoavailable as Sel-Paced Education Kits. This means you canstudy the material in your own time and at your own pace. These kits include all the materials you would receive i youattended an instructor-led course. The manuals are easy toollow and include exercises throughout to ensure you becomeamiliar with the practical application o SCADA solutions.

Online TrainingOur online education modules are designed to provide

students with the entry level undamentals required or ourbroader industrial automation topics. These ree modules actas both a primer or urther instructor-led In-Class TrainingCourses, as well as developing knowledge and expertise oranyone involved in the liecycle support o Schneider Electricsautomation and control equipment.

    Academic Program

The Academic Program is designed to enable universities, technical colleges and tertiary training centers the ability toget the most out o their sotware investment. This is achievedby providing students and aculties with access to the industrialautomation sotware and courseware or a nominal ee. Thisprogram provides support or the registered aculty, which isa 12 hours a day, 5 days a week technical support service.Signicant benets or the institution, the instructor and thestudent makes this program exceptional value.

Certified Training ProgramsIt can be dicult to compare the skills o one person to another, particularly when hiring new sta.Whilst university degrees indicate what an applicant is capable o, it does not measure an applicantsskills with regards to designing and implementing industrial applications.

Schneider Electrics certication programs address this issue. Much like any educational environment, participants in our certication programs will attend classes, study, sit exams and progressively earnrecognition in key components o industrial automation.

We currently oer two types o certication:

SCADA certificationProvides a structured ramework ensuring engineers have extensive experienceintegrating Schneider Electric SCADA solutions using CitectSCADA or Vijeo Citect.

PlantStruxureTM certificationCerties technical experts in a wide range o subjects covering the breadth o our evolvingPlantStruxure oer; including networking and architecture, PLC and SCADA platorms,as well as Schneider Electric engineering tools.

SCADA Certification ProgramThe SCADA certication program distinguishes and recognises engineers who have demonstratedtheir advanced expertise in the integration o Schneider Electrics SCADA sotware solutions.

At the heart o the CEP are the SCE (SCADA Certied Engineer) exams, which provide a means otesting experienced systems engineers. They encompass tests or both CitectSCADA/ Vijeo Citectknowledge as well as a range o related topics, such as PLC communications, Microsot WindowsOS and networking.

The CitectSCADA Certied Proessional (CSCP) and Vijeo Citect Certied Proessional (VCCP)qualications are introductory certications which can be achieved as the rst stage o the ull CEPqualication. The CSCP will be awarded to those CEP candidates who achieve a pass on the currentversion conguration exam.

To obtain certication, students must pass the exam or each o the corresponding modules o theSCADA Certied Engineer Program (CEP):

Module 1: Conguration Module 2: Cicode

Module 3:Architecture and Redundancy Module 4: Customisation and Design Module 5: Diagnostics and Troubleshooting

The SCADA certication program is open to all customers, end users and partners.

PlantStruxure Certification ProgramThe PlantStruxure CEP (Certied Engineer Program) distinguishes and recognises engineers skilledin the integration o Schneider Electric technology based automation projects.

With the certication, Schneider Electric acknowledges to the market that the PlantStruxure CertiedEngineer masters the Schneider Electric system oer/ technology. The engineer should thereore becapable, to implement a given solution/application in the best possible way using Schneider Electrictechnology. Currently, the PlantStruxure Certied Engineer Program is available only to employees

o active Schneider Electric Alliance partners.

The PlantStruxure certication is issued to engineers who have successully demonstrated theirexpertise by passing an exam or each o the our key modules:

Module 1: Schneider Electric Architectures and Networking Module 2: Unity Pro and PAC Platorms Module 3:Vijeo Citect - SCADA Platorm Module 4: Engineering Tools Module 5: Connexium (external Prometric exam or RPL* rom Hirschmann)

Modules 1 through 3 are mandatory and passing grades on each module are required to be eligible orcertication. Module 4 contains two sub modules - one or UAG and one or sg2. A passing grade ononly one o these two modules is sucient to be eligible or certication. A candidate can choose to

take either one or both o these. No additional credit is given to candidates passing both sub modules.Module 5 is a planned Industrial Ethernet extension to the PlantStruxure CEP in 2012, and will bemandatory or both new and existing PlantStruxure certied engineers, requiring an external exam.

The PlantStruxure CEP is exclusively accessible to Schneider Electric Alliance partners.
