TRAINING OBJECTIVES
1. To equip students to effectively and independently manage small and medium
sized dairy herds in a productive and economical way
2. To train a person who will have full knowledge of all SOP’s required to manage
every requirement and animal at dairy farm effectively
3. To produce a farm manager who can effectively deal with most of problems
occurring at farms
4. To create an awareness of how a farmer can save his farm resources which are
being wasted at the moment by wrong /traditional practices.

o Identification markings of animals(Tagging, tattooing etc)

o Record of all activates with detail about each individual animal
o Proper Animal Housing
o Comfortable farm building/healthy surroundings according to latest standards
o 24/7 availability of water and feed
o Proper cleanliness (manure etc)
o Proper handling and treatment facility provision
o Castration/Dehorning & age determination of animals

o Proper balanced ration according to animal needs
o Fodder crops their rotation to ensure round the year availability
o Silage/Hay/Baleage techniques to preserve surplus fodder production

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION OF INSTRUCTORS
DVM / BS (Animal Sciences) or Equivalent (Fresh) from HEC recognized
University. Preference will be given to those with Experienced / Exposure of
Minimum 5 Year on any public or private sector livestock farm with Computer
