Purpose of PLT

- PLT is one of the onboard laptop computer (A31p) dedicated to JAXA payload operations.

- Ground is responsible for commanding/monitoring JAXA Payloads.

- However, there are the cases that ground can not operate the P/Ls. In these cases, crewmember might be requested to command/monitor JAXA Payloads as backup of ground.

PLT hardware(A31p) and operating system software (Red hat Linux) are the same as the ISS PCS and SLT.

PLT Local Bus Interface Software (PLT LBIS) provides C&DH function.

PLT Application Software (PLT ASW) provides unique displays for each payload operations.

PLT is set up with the software component for JAXA payload operations.
