Transcendent/Perfect Peace!

Introduction• Εἰρήνη (eirene) & (Shalom) ש��לו�ם• Isaiah 26:3

– You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

• Phil.4:7a – And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard

your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

• Psalms 119:165– Great peace belongs to those who love your instruction, and nothing

makes them stumble.

• Examples:• Jesus – sleeping in a boat (Mark 4:38, Matthew 8:24)

• Paul –– Philippians 4:12– I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to

have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

• John 14:27 • Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not

give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

• Romans 5:1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ..

• Colossians1:20:Christ made "peace through his blood, shed on the cross."

• Hebrews 12:14Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

The Source & Giver: Trinity

How to get it?

• Philippians 4:9Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

• Phil.4:6-7Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
