PROJECT I - EDUCATION

A full day school for mentally special children of 2 to 18

years of age, for training in basic personal hygiene, life

skills and literacy.

Challenges:

To minimize the unlearning that happens during the 2

months of summer holidays when the school is closed on

vacation.

Eligibility:

• Fluency in English

• Highly empathetic with mentally special children

• Must have good participation and observation skills

Duration: 2 months

Use of technology and other innovative ways to

transform the learning experience in classroom for the

children of class 8th to12th in government schools and

orphanages

PROJECT II - EDUCATION

Challenges:

To find simple yet effective ways of leveraging technology

for classroom learning in government schools. It should

involve low maintenance costs and be scalable.

Eligibility:

• Fluency in English

• Have practical aptitude and analytical outlook to solve

problems

• Desirably, a background in engineering or design

Duration: 2 months

A women run unit to produce low cost sanitary napkins. It

serves the dual purpose of creating livelihood opportunities

for rural women as well as menstrual hygiene issue for the

rural girls/women

PROJECT III - Women Empowerment

Challenges:

• To design strategy for creating mass awareness about

menstrual hygiene which culminates in acceptance of

the product by rural adolescent girls

• To understand and make the whole process from raw

material procurement to selling the product, simpler

and cost effective.

Eligibility:

• Interest in personal health and hygiene

• Willingness to stay in a rural setting

• Must have good social skills to blend in a new culture

• Female candidates only

Duration: 2 months

A training and orientation in rural healthcare, encompassing

preventive, promotive and curative aspects. This is

specially designed for medical students.
