!!!About Transition“Our true goal of the play is to minister to the lost and

broken…to the damaged and the outcast”!Transition the stage play is a story of a man named Jerome. In 1992 Jerome and his

younger brother, Lucky are in their early twenties and are kingpins in their city. Jerome is dating Sharmaine, a money hungry gold digger, who is willing to get riches by any means. Unbeknownst to Jerome, she is approached by a guy named Big Sam, who has dreams of replacing him in every way. Big Sam continues to hold her attention with the things money can buy, and convinces her to return the favor.!

He asks her to set up a robbery, paying her $50,000 to do so. She doesn’t want anyone to get hurt in the process, but her greed accepts the proposition. Her fear of what could happen becomes a reality and claims Lucky’s life. During the robbery, shots were fired and the outcome was fatal. To see so much loss in such a short amount of time, this moment in Jerome’s life became the last straw for him. !

He reminisces on what he was working towards, a life out of the “rat race” and now it has come in a different way, and all too soon. While standing over what became the end of his brother’s life, he cries out to God deciding to have no more to do with the fast life. He begged God to make a needed change in his life to get him out of the Dope Game. Sharmaine walks in after the robbery and witnesses a new man. The boyfriend she knew as being a stone cold gangster is now in a new form and she becomes enraged.!

Sharmaine is not pleased and out of spite, keeps the secret of their child from him. Her decision was fed by hatred as she watches Jerome cry out to God for a change and walks out of his life carrying his child. Twenty years go past and Jerome is now a pastor and “do gooder” in the community he once terrorized with drugs, money, and guns. Surprisingly, the community now is being ran down and controlled by a new young kingpin “Junior”, who happens to be his son. !

Transition is filled with laughter, twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It will have a great impact on the lives of those dealing with the truth in this play and can be viewed by all ages. This play was birthed out of a reality that so many lives have come to grips with each day. It shows what some don’t see, and what most are going through secretly. Our aim is to provide support and awareness of the situations portrayed in the play. It gives the ones who feel they are overlooked that inspiration they need to come out of what they feel is their fate. God rules overall and this play shares what calling on His name can do. Our true goal is to minister to the lost and broken that continue to look down at their lives simply because there has been no one to tell them they can and should look up. We ask that you help us in our mission in spreading our message in making Transition their help, their inspiration, and their support.!

Angelo Robinson - Writer, Director, Producer

This Stage Play is written, produced, directed and features Lawson319 Entertainment CEO Angelo Robinson. Angelo Robinson has proven to be a phenomenal playwright and an accomplished thespian with honorable integrity. Angelo's vision is to use theater to reach those that are judged, lost and broken. His writing, directing and acting abilities minister life, laughter and the love of God. This story is inspired by Angelo's life with the hopes that through his own Transition he will be a vessel toward the Transition in others.!!Angelo Robinson is also the founder of T.A.A.P. which is Transition’s after school and arts program. T.A.A.P. prides itself in furthering the youth within today’s society by effectively and practically impacting their lives to become future leaders.

Actor Tommy Ford is a Hollywood veteran who became famous for his role in the syndicated sitcom MARTIN as Martin Lawrence’s best friend and side-kick “Tommy”. He recently completed four seasons on TV One’s hit show, WHO’S GOT JOKES hosted by Bill Bellamy, as the hilarious Pope of Comedy.!!In the past few years Tommy has starred in more than fifteen films: FIRST IMPRESSION; HILLBILLY HIGHWAY; IVY LEAGUE; WHO DID I MARRY; UNSPOKEN WORD; DOUGLASS U; DREAMS (The Movie); NO MORE GAMES; SWITCHING THE SCRIPT; HARD LESSONS; 4 PLAY; MISSISSIPPI BLUES, BACK COURT and others. In addition to a new tv series called BASKETBALL WIVES.!!Tommy is excited to introduce two variety talk shows and a documentary that he is filming in Atlanta: Don’t Be Stupid is best described as a Bill Maher “meets” Chelsea Lately on Collar Greens! Spoken Word with Hank Stewart The Poet, highlights amazing poets and spoken word artists.!!He’s also filming a documentary entitled: REVERSE THE LYNCH CURSE an empowering piece about breaking curses of fear distrust and envy.
