Converging to ESXi with the ne1t vSphere reease

With the 2A o' vSphere +,- in 3uy 45-5 V"ware o''iciay

announced that starting with the ne1t vSphere our hypervisor

architecture wi converge to ESXi 6rom the reease note.

VMware vSphere 4.1 and its subsequent update and patch releases are the last releases to

include both ES and ESi hypervisor architectures. Future !a"or releases o# VMware

vSphere will include only the VMware ESi architecture.

VMware reco!!ends that custo!ers start transitionin$ to the ESi architecture when

deployin$ VMware vSphere 4.1.

VMware will continue to provide technical support #or VMware ES accordin$ to the

VMware vSphere support policy on the VMware Enterprise %n#rastructure Support

pa$e.
