• September 2011 – Second consultation with
CARAC
– Initial package modified to reduce impact on
northern operations
• North of 60th parallel chosen for relief of smaller aircraft
• Relief consistent with Approach Ban regulations, Airports Capital
Assistance Program (ACAP), and the certification relief provided
by the FAA for the State of Alaska.
• Package accepted by the CARAC Technical Committee with
dissents
