Proactive was founded in 2000, servicing the Engineering and Transport sectors. With initial offices in Egham and a small team of determined individuals, the business began to grow.

Over the years, Proactive evolved into one of the UK's leading technical recruitment agencies with an envious staff base and loyal market share. We opened our second office in 2010 in London Waterloo, which has today relocated to Bishopsgate, near Liverpool Street station.

In 2011, Proactive was acquired by Human Capital Investment Group (HCIG). The acquisition gave Proactive the platform to build further, whilst providing an operational support infrastructure that includes HR, Compliance, Marketing, Payroll, Accounts and Credit Control

In 2013, we opened our third office – this time in Birmingham Central, to cater for the ever growing demand of our client and candidate base.

In 2014, Proactive launched AlphaTec Consulting as a joint venture between its management team and Proactive – a Milton Keynes based business specialising in technology and electronics recruitment

Andy Jennings – Director of Transport Divisions

Andy has been with Proactive Technical Recruitment for 6 Years now and has transformed the way the business works . A time served Workshop Manager with over 20 years experience working for Volvo, Scania, DAF and Foden in all areas of the business inc Workshop, Parts, Admin and Sales, Andy has overall responsibility for our Transport Engineering teams and implementing the companies strategy , however he still likes to recruit on a daily basis and still likes to keep his ear to the ground.

Our Fleet , Rental & Logistics Team

Nathan Woakes – Executive Consultant - White collar and LogisticsNathan has overall responsibility for our White collar and Logistics Division ,Nathan has worked within the Automotive/Transport sector for 10 years specialising in Technical and Engineering, Nathans main focus is our White Collar desk where he has a proven history of retained, head hunting, search and selection and contingent recruitment from Grad to Director level in the Transport and Logistics Sector .

Dave Morris – Perm Recruitment Fleet & Rental Dave manages the accounts of some of our larger Clients where a dedicated Consultant is necessary , on a Daily basis Dave will recruit permanent Staff for these Clients UK wide .

Charlie Jennings – Perm Recruitment Fleet & Rental Charlie has joined the Transport team recently and is already making an impact bringing in new business from several of the countries leading Fleet and Rental companies , Charlie started as an Apprentice at Proactive and is now a Junior Consultant and one to watch out for .

Laura Miller – Team Leader Temp Recruitment HGV / PSV One of our longest service members of the Transport Team Laura has a wealth of experience delivering temporary staffing solutions to Clients at very short notice , her reputation within our Industry is second to none, her core strengths are the relationship she is able to build with both Clients and Candidates alike .Gosia Brudniak – Temp Recruitment HGV /PSV Providing temporary staffing solutions to the HGV / PSV Industries , Gosias main skills lie in the recruitment of Bus & Coach Engineers and Drivers across the whole of the UK to all the major Bus & Coach Operators .

Georgia Howard – (Trainee) Temp Recruitment HGV /PSV Our latest addition to the temp team , Georgia comes from a sales background and is already proving to be a valuable asset to the team and a bright prospect for the future

Calvyn Desir – Temp Recruitment HGV /PSV Calvyn has extensive experience in the temporary recruitment marketplace and has already run extremely successful desks supplying Engineers and Drivers to the HGV Marketplace

Adam Rogerson – Car & Van Adam has 5 years recruitment experience and is focused on sourcing fully qualified technicians, MOT testers and aftersales advisors for the Automotive industry , Adams focus is The South East , London & The Home Counties

Charlotte Taylor – Car & Van Charlotte works alongside Adam in our Automotive sector and has been brought in to increase our market share in the Midlands and North of Birmingham, Charlotte recruits anything from Technicians to Dealership Directors

Our Director Andy still likes to recruit in this sector , many of the UK’s largest Plant & Construction companies use Andys expertise on a daily basis to supply Plant Operators & Plant Fitters and all levels of Supervisors and Management .

Paris Wackrill – Perm Recruitment Main Dealerships HGV & PSV Paris looks after our HGV / Main Dealer Clients who are looking for permanent members of Staff , working with the same Clients as Gosia she is able to provide Bus & Coach Engineers, Auto Electricians , Coachbuilders and Drivers.

Elle Taylor – Perm Recruitment Main Dealerships HGV & PSV Elle works alongside Paris in a similar role looking after some key accounts within the HGV Sector supplying permanent Staff to Main Dealerships , Bus & Coach Operators across the whole of the UK
