Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) involve environmental stewardship and consideration of a project’s impacts on the surrounding area. We actively implement CSS in our transportation plans and infrastructure design projects, and we help our clients do so as well. We have also been advocating Complete Streets in numerous comprehensive plans for many clients.
Freese and Nichols’ transportation planning approach results in action-oriented plans for expanding thoroughfare and transit systems in a fiscally responsible manner. Just as importantly, our plans include ways to provide viable transportation alternatives to sustainably serve citizens over the long term. Freese and Nichols believes transportation systems should provide safe and efficient movement using a comprehensive network of streets that complement land uses.
