HIGHLIGHTS • Discover Southeast Alaska, Gulf of Alaska

and Prince William Sound on one cruise • Enjoy two full days in Prince William Sound • See many of Alaska’s most famous glaciers • Scout for wildlife from whales, seals and sea

birds, to bears and otters ITINERARY DAY 1 – VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA - EMBARKATION Vibrant Vancouver features waterfront parks, nearby mountains with summer hiking trails and winter skiing, multitudes of cafes, shops, galleries, museums, and a diversity of colorful cultural neighborhoods to explore.

DAY 2 – CRUISE BRITISH COLUMBIA’S INSIDE PASSAGE We sail north through the narrow, weaving channels of Canada’s Inside Passage. Be on the lookout for the dolphins, porpoise, orcas, and whales that frequent these protected inland waters.

DAY 3 – KETCHIKAN, ALASKA Known as the “Salmon capital of the world,” Ketchikan is a true frontier town, surrounded by towering mountains. Colorful gold rush era houses on stilts line the riverbank. The city has strong ties to Tlingit culture and is home to one of the largest collections of standing totem poles. DAY 4 – MISTY FJORDS NATIONAL MONUMENT Misty Fjords National Monument is a realm of thick evergreen rainforests, granite cliffs adorned by cascading waterfalls, mountain rivers and coastal wetlands, with milky fog often filling the bays and coves. Quiet and tranquil, this magical place will show you the serenity of the Alaskan soul.

DAY 5 – WRANGELL, ALASKA One of the oldest island towns in Alaska, Wrangell has been governed by four different nations – Tlingit, Russia, Britain and the United States. Numerous petroglyphs on the beach and moss-covered totem poles are remnants of the distant past. Outside the main cruise ship routes, Wrangell remains a simple fishing town. DAY 6 – SITKA, ALASKA’S RUSSIAN CAPITAL Sitka has beautiful scenery with snowcapped mountains, small islands, rich wildlife all around, and even a visible volcano. A former capital of Russian Alaska, the town has historic streets featuring a Russian Othodox cathedral and ornate totem poles.

DAY 7 – PETERSBURG, ALASKA Nicknamed “Little Norway,” rarely-visited Petersburg is a thriving fishing village with a strong Norwegian heritage, breathtaking scenery, and abundant marine life. Proud of their Scandinavian roots, local residents even celebrate Norwegian holidays, and the heart of the community is the “Sons of Norway Hall.”

DAY 8 – ICY STRAIT POINT, ALASKA Land of Tlingit people, Icy Strait Point offers a glimpse into the life of a native settlement. This welcoming community features houses adorned with intricate carvings, totem poles telling stories of the clans, and colorful cafes, shops, and museum displays.

DAY 9 – HAINES, ALASKA Framed by mountains, Haines was home to the Chilkat Tlingit people for centuries, before Europeans arrived in the late 1800s, followed by gold rush settlers. Known for its community of artists in modern times, Haines remains at heart a small Alaskan town at the edge of wilderness.

DAY 10 – TRACY AND ENDICOTT ARMS True gems of Southeast Alaska, Tracy and Endicott Arm Fjords feature lush greenery and steep valleys as well as intricately shaped icebergs bobbing in the water, calved from the radiant blue glaciers at the end of the fjords. These fjord areas are also home to mountain goats and harbor seals. DAY 11 – HUBBARD GLACIER The waterway that hosts Hubbard Glacier was named Disenchantment Bay by Spanish sea captain Alessandro Malaspina in 1792. He was disappointed to find that it was not the Northwest Passage as he had hoped. We trust you will be enchanted, maybe even spellbound, by the beautiful icescapes found here. DAY 12 – PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND, COLLEGE FJORD A true expedition day and rare treat to explore the less-visited College Fjord with its impressive collection of glaciers. This is a natural wonderland where ice and forests meet, and home to five tidewater glaciers, five larger valley glaciers and many smaller glaciers, all named after famous East Coast colleges.

DAY 13 – SEWARD, DISEMBARKATION - ANCHORAGE In 1793, Alexander Baranov established a trading post in Resurrection Bay. Nowadays largely a fishing town, Seward welcomes you with mountain trails right from town, nearby glaciers and a beautiful coastal setting. After disembarkation we transfer you through amazing scenery to Anchorage for an overnight stay. DAY 14 – ANCHORAGE We recommend extending your stay in this intriguing frontier city, visiting Denali National Park, or other attractions before flying home. NOTE- Pre- and post-cruise activities can be added – let us know what you would like to do and see! NOTE: Itinerary order may fluctuate between various dates. May 31 does not visit Sitka, but spends an extra day exploring pristine Prince William Sound.
