OH WE DOLIKE TO BE BESIDE THE SEASIDE!

WESTON SUPER MARE became the centre of the world for one fantastic Sunday as hoards of poptastic celebrities headed down the M4 to the southwest holiday town for the annual T4 on the beach event.

For one day, the stars ditched their usual super glitzy London outfits for a more casual approach, turning up in vests, shorts and the compulsory wellington boots to finish off that West Country look!

“The Wanted” kicked off the four-hour pop extravaganza, sending the crowd into a boy band-loving frenzy as well as getting the eager fans ready for the acts that were to follow, such as Rita Ora, Lawson, Tulisa, Dappy, Taio Cruz and Rizzle Kicks.

Among the highlights were X Factor winners Little Mix performing their new single ‘Wings’ for the very first time, and eye-catching performances - and costumes - from Alexandra Burke and Rita Ora.

Ora’s bright blue and white cat suit got the crowd excited, as did Burke’s red and white checked ensemble.

DAMAGE kick started the re-launch of their music career by putting on a sell-out

gig at Jazz Cafe, Camden – and what a re-launch it was! Guests including Jade’s partner,

Emma Bunton along with Kele-Le-Roc, Misha B, Alisha Dixon and Keith Lemon joined the party to show their support.

Damage came on stage at approximately 7.30pm, and sang all their hits including ‘I Be Loving You’, ‘Still Loving You’ and the all time classic, ‘Ghetto Romance.’ Soon to join the stage was Emma Bunton, Kele-Le-Roc and Alesha Dixon, who broke out into her trademark rap.

The party certainly did not stop here. Everybody joined Damage at the after-party held at the trendy Adelaide, Primrose Hill.

On arrival, guests were

greeted with the renowned Tresor Paris cocktail, which went down a treat!

What better way to introduce the Damage designed Children With Aids Charity bracelets (CWAC) than at their re-launch? Ten lucky Facebook winners were gifted with the newly created CWAC bracelet. On the celebrities’ arrival, they were also gifted with a CWAC bracelet and photographed before they vanished to party!

The after party consisted of music supplied by no other than legendary Choice FM DJ, Daddy Ernie – who, coincidently, is Andrez’s Dad. Some great classics were played, with the party continuing into the early hours of the morning. The evening was great, and was enjoyed by all!

Tresor Paris is delighted to have Damage back. It has been a long time coming!

Lee‘steps’into Tresor ParisThere’s lots going on for Lee Latchford-

Evans, a member of the 90’s band ‘Steps’ who brought us iconic tunes

like Tragedy! With the band reuniting for a spectacular sell-out tour and with his own projects and businesses to boot, you wonder how Lee finds the time to fit everything into his busy schedule, but somehow he does! He did, however, find the time to visit the ultra modern Tresor Paris showroom. Lee definitely prioritised well!

He introduced us to his beautiful fiancée Kerry who is planning their wedding, which takes place later this year! Kerry chose two bracelets, one being the beautiful Cote d’Azur,

a brilliant white crystal and turquoise howlite with white cord and black

diamond set in sterling silver. The other was the Migennes, a sparkling all white crystal and magnetite bracelet part of the extremely popular Neptune collection. If ever you wanted

to make a jewellery statement these two styles would sure do that!

With all his experience in the entertainment business, Lee knows that having the right accessories are essential to putting an outfit together. So he chose the new Creances skull bracelet, part of the Pluto collection with its solid silver skulls, red crystal eyes and black Tibetan cord. This choice of style says he definitely means business!

With so much going on for Lee there is a great energy about him, the future is definitely bright for Lee, Kerry and Steps. I would say this is just the beginning!

Editor’s Note

Leroi HannifordEditor

Hello and welcome to another

edition of Tresor Paris News. This is our 8th issue now and I must say this has been my favourite edition to work on so far. May I start by saying CONGRATULATIONS! We are the proud winners of the UK Jewellery awards, Marketing campaign of the year 2012.

The Tresor Paris reputation is forever growing, and during the past few months we have been privileged to have been invited to and having attended some of the best parties and events on the London social calendar. In this issue we were very lucky invitees to the relaunch of the boy band, or shall I say man band, Damage. The group who had global success with hits such as “Ghetto Romance” and “I’ll Still Be loving You” have listened to the public and decided to re-launch their music career with their comeback gig being held in the world famous Jazz Café. The after party continued at the Adelaide club in Primrose Hill, where they were joined by celebrity friends including ex spice girl, Emma Bunton, R&B singer Kele Le-Roc and comedy king Keith Lemon. Friends and family were also present, and not forgetting the ten lucky fans who not only got to meet their idols but were also gifted with the new CWAC bracelet, which was designed by Jade, Rahsaan, Noel and André who also support the charity - full story can be read on page 2. We also had the honour of being headline sponsors at this year annual Duke of Essex Polo Trophy. This is a must on the Essex social calendar and Tresor Paris were there too with the Tresor Paris bus in tow. Although we could not stop the rain from falling we did bring a smile to all the guests faces as we mingled and entertained the cream of Essex. Our invited guests included, Nancy Dell’olio, MOBO founder Kanya King, model Caprice and TOWIE stars including Lauren Goodger and Bobby Norris. We also took the short trip west down the M4 to Channel 4’s T4 On The Beach. This one-day festival was ‘poptastsic’, where Tresor Paris mingled with stars including Wretch 32, Conor Maynard and The Wanted - full report on page 8 and 9. Other highlights include the launch of the Jamaica Range and the Ben Allen exhibition. There are so many things to talk about in this edition that I have literally run out of space which means you’re just going to have to read it!!

Enjoy.

NOMINATED for Marketing Campaign of the year, the Retail Jewellery Awards was an exciting date in the diary for Tresor Paris.

The evening was set to celebrate the best of the Jewellery industry, taking place in the very lavish Grosvenor House, Park Lane. Before the evening commenced, guests had an opportunity to take a look at some of the jewellery from the nominated

brands, beautifully displayed during a cocktail reception.

The evening continued in the famous, chandelier setting of Grosvenor House Great Hall, with an introduction from Retail Jeweller editor, Laura McCreddie. Following a delicious and enjoyable three-course dinner, Radio 2 DJ, Lauren Laverne hosted the rest of the evening. Laverne had the entire room, a total of approximately 700 guests,

quite literally on the edge of their seats awaiting to hear the winners.

Marketing Campgain of the year was the first award to be announced. As Laverne stated so accurately – ‘the only way you wouldn’t have

known about [Tresor Paris] is if you had been on Mars for the last year’. The ‘Tresor Paris Arrives’ campaign had won Tresor Paris Marketing Campaign of the Year. As one judge put it, Tresor Paris was ‘an overnight explosion with all marketing avenues following’.

The Retail Jewellery Awards is an annual event that recognises and celebrates the accomplishments of

all involved in the jewellery industry from individuals to brands, boutiques and independent retailers. Tresor Paris are extremely proud to have taken home not just recognition, but an award that embodies all of Tresor Paris’ hard work and success.

Duke of EssexGLITZ AND GLAM

There was approximately 10,000 guests, and as muddy as it was, the ladies from Essex were not put off. Arriving in glamorous attire, high heels and even some floor-length gowns, it was clear that nothing was stopping these ladies from looking their best. What caught the attention of many were the glistening and colourful sequin dresses and Louboutin heels, which strutted their way to and from the champagne bar. More surprising, considering the weather, were the number of white dresses that appeared! Even the men made quite a spectacular effort, with plenty of tailored suits and shining shoes on show. Tresor Paris were quick to notice the fashion statements, gifting the best dressed ladies with a beautiful Tresor Paris bracelet to accessorise their outfit. Russian Model Katie Elizarova and Miss Surrey added to the glamour, and not forgetting, Miss Essex, who truly represented the Essex ladies in style.

VIPWith VIP entrance bands at the ready, Tresor Paris were

ready to mingle with the array of big names. Chartered helicopter landings brought in just some of the VIP guests that were to flood the VIP marquee. The helicopters really did land with a bang, with the helicopter rotor quite literally lifting onlookers, and awaiting paps, off their feet. What an entrance! Some of the celebrity guests included reality stars from TOWIE, Simon Webbe and Anthony Costa from Blue, Big Brovaz, Nancy Dell’olio, Caprice, Lauren Goodger, Gary Cockeril and Kanya King MBE to name a just a few!

As well as champagne VIP marquees, the event also consisted of food from a celebrity chef menu and a spectacular fashion show, with of course, glamorous models gracing the catwalk dressed in Tresor Paris’ sparkles. There were also a number of food stalls – from freshly made coffee for the morning or stone baked pizza come lunch time! Next to the VIP Marquee was also a gorgeous pampering lounge courtesy of Gini Bhogal – perfect to freshen up from the showery morning.

THE BUSOf course, the Tresor Paris bus was on site! Perfectly

positioned next to the Dukes’ Marquee, the famous bus was open for guests to take a look at some of Tresor Paris’ latest collections on display - or, for some shelter from the rain! On board were glamorous models and brand champions representing TP, with beautifully dressed pod displays, as well as Tresor Paris brochures and magazines at hand, along with branded sweets and water! The bus was really the talk of the town, with many curious guests desperate to have a sneak peak!

THE weather may have spoiled the terrain but it certainly did not ruin everyone’s spirits at the Duke of Essex Polo Trophy, taking place in the beautiful surroundings of the Gaynes Park estate in Epping. Tresor Paris were delighted to be affiliated with such a wonderful event as first ever headline sponsor.

POLO!Come late afternoon, the sun was shining. The fantastic polo matches took

place, including the wonderful Epping Forest marching pipe band! If the guests were not partying in VIP, they were lining the pitch to enjoy the match and by half time, they were on the field to participate in the tradition of ‘divot stamping’. The game was spectacular, and competition was extremely high. Britain finished as winners – a great ending to the afternoon.

AFTER PARTY!The event went into the early hours, with many going home to freshen

up, returning later to rejoin the party! There was an over 18 and over 30s marquee with a packed dance floor, blasting out music that could be heard from afar. It was truly a wonderful event, certainly the highlight of this year’s Essex social calendar.

Dirty Sexy Money ExhibitionBRIGHTON artist, Ben Allen, famous for his comic book art, exhibits his mixed media paintings in galleries internationally, as well as having many celebrity customers including Richard Branson, Stephen Dorff and Jade Jagger. It was a pleasure for Tresor Paris to be a part of this exhibition, using their crystals in Ben Allen’s star Skull screen print, showcased at Ben Allen’s biggest exhibition yet - the Dirty Sexy Money exhibition.

The exhibition offered a wonderful display of Ben’s work. Showcasing his art across two floors of a contemporary gallery situated in the newly regenerated area of Store Street, a stones throw away from Tottenham Court Road in the heart of

London. Alongside the Star Skull print was Ben Allen’s Disney and DC comic inspired prints. Guests found it hard to keep their hands out of their pockets, with so many art pieces suitable to adorn their home.

The limited edition Tresor Paris collaboration ‘Star Skull’ was unveiled at the private viewing, decorated with twenty-five Tresor Paris crystals. Also on show was the ‘Diamond Angel’, Katie Price inspired piece, which went for auction for The Vision Charity and Autism independent UK, which is close to Katie’s heart. Courtesy of Beach Blanket Babylon, the exclusive restaurant produced a mouth watering Bazooka cocktail to accompany the iconic sweets that were artistically

displayed for guests to choose and consume at their leisure.

Of course the Tresor Paris bus could not keep away, arriving in typical Tresor Paris style with its ever so special Tresor Paris cargo, including designer Lilian Lousky. When asked how he feels, artist Ben Allen replied, “I’m overwhelmed by the turnout, I’ve worked hard to get here and now it’s nearly over…I can’t wait to go to bed!” Tresor Paris look forward to sparkling up Ben Allen’s artwork in the future.

Tresor Paris had fun at theseaside with

Rita Ora’s bright blue and white cat suit got the crowd excited, as did Alexandra Burke’s red and white checked ensemble.

There were performances from Britain’s Got talent winners Ashleigh & Pudsey as they performed an exceptional routine as a special 10th anniversary gift for the show, which celebrated its 10-year. There were also memorable surprise appearances from previous T4 presenters June Sarpong and Vernon Kay.

The first ever event was held in Great Yarmouth on July 13, 2003. The very first acts were among Tresor Paris’ friends - Blue, who performed their hit song “All Rise” and “Breathe Easy”, Girls Aloud performing “No Good Advice” and “Life Got Cold”, and another one of Tresor Paris’ family, Big Brovaz.

T4 went back to Great Yarmouth in 2004 until moving to its current home in Weston-Super-Mare in 2005.

With all the performances going on stage, the best party was taking place back stage in the T4 gifting suite, where

Tresor Paris had prepared a treasure chest of gifts ready to adorn the performers’ wrists as well as adding that all

important swagger and bling to the occasion. While mingling with the stars backstage the Tresor

Paris PR team were inundated with celebrities wanting to say hello.

Stars including Conor Maynard, Little Mix, Wretch 32, Alexandra Burke and Stoosh all performed during the 6-hour event, which was broadcast across all of the Channel 4 networks, including E4 and 4 Music.

As well as performers on the day, T4 presenter Georgie Okell could not resist the light blue crystal bracelet Gaucid from the popular Venus collection.

The day consisted of a number of major contemporary pop and rock music acts from the UK and overseas, performing short sets in front of an audience of over 50,000. In addition to the main stage a smaller 4Music stage has provided a platform for newer upcoming bands, renamed in 2010 to the T4 Sessions stage. Also on show was the famous Tresor Paris bus, which showed up to give extra support to the already famous brand. The Tresor Paris street team were busy spreading the word, as concert-goers who were all clambouring to get their hands on the latest

IF YOU have a Tresor Paris piece of jewellery (and if you don’t, you should), you will appreciate its delicacy and Tresor Paris are sure that you would like to know how to ensure its beauty is never spoiled.

Tresor Paris jewellery should not be subjected to abrasion or chemicals. Wear it often; the open air will help conserve it, ensuring its sparkle remains.

To avoid scratches, you should always store each piece carefully away from anything or any other jewellery that might scratch or damage it.Pearl is especially sensitive to cosmetics (soap, hairspray, perfume, etc.). When using cosmetic products, you should therefore wait until any volatile components have evaporated - at least 30 minutes - before putting on your jewellery. Do not swim or shower in any Tresor Paris jewellery.

To clean a piece of jewellery, you should use very gentle cleansers only, such as those intended for delicate wools or lingerie, and even then use caution. Chamois cloths, designed for cleaning your silver jewellery, can be purchased from some boutiques.

Our jewellery is known for its strength. But caution is still advised. Avoid stretching, twisting and tying in a different ways other than intended.

As the sun sets lower in the sky and the nights get longer, Tresor Paris has been enjoying the changing of seasons. Strolling

through London’s Hyde Park we’ve been admiring the different shades

of the autumn leaves; the golden tones, rich reds and sometimes the twinkling

silver of a touch of frost. These different tones reminded us of one of our newest and most unique collections – The Bellatrix!

NEWS

The Bachant bracelet will be your own little token of the summer months past. Its full white crystal covered face sits against a bright yellow golden disk. This stunning charm represents an ancient symbol for “sun”. In Astrology the sun represents our conscious mind and as “the giver of life”, its energy represents our own creative life force.

The Ecommoy bracelet’s interlocking black crystal and white crystal hearts represent the union of true love. This fine bracelet carries the symbolism of two and togetherness throughout. Unlike the other bracelets within the collection the ‘interlocking heart’ bracelets have a double chain! We find its 18ct rose gold finish the most romantic of them all!

The Argenton sterling silver bracelet has white Tresor Paris crystals in the palm of its hand! This charm is the “Khamsa” hand, an ancient sign of protection. The Arabic words translate as “five”, in reference to the five digits on the hand. This amulet is used in many cultures and represents blessing, power and strength which are perfect qualities to balance with the beauty of this bracelet.

The Persan earrings add a modern twist to the Bellatrix collection. The contemporary feel of the silver oval is complimented by the white crystal sphere at its heart, along with a touch of amethyst at the top of the earrings. The Pia falling sphere style earrings give an extra golden touch to an Autumn’s day. The delicate Bellatrix collection earrings are all allergy free so you can look gorgeous and feel fantastic too!

The Uzan bracelet includes the winning combination of Tresor Paris crystals and black Tibetan cord. There is even a touch of magnetite in the tiny disks placed at either side of the symbol and bracelet fastening. Again, we are introduced to the “Khamsa” protection amulet but in this delicate crystal lined cut-out we find an eye. Not only is this splash of turquoise eye catching it is also a talisman to protect from the “Evil Eye” (bad luck). The rose gold of this design gives it a vintage feel and adds a lovely touch to the spheres that fall from the Tibetan cord.

CRYSTAL dates back to 500 BC in Mesopotamia, the land between the rivers. Simply put, South Asia. In its native state, crystal was to be used for jewellery and pottery. Experiments led to the addition of lead to the glass crystals, which enabled the increase of the refractive index.

The crystals Tresor Paris use are of the best quality and diamond cut. It is no surprise they offer such sparkle. In fact, Tresor Paris’ crystals outshine diamonds. The cut of each individual crystal ensures light reflects strikingly, and it is for this reason that they are so unbelievably noticeable.

Equally special about Tresor Paris’ crystals

What makes it so? is the range of colours that are available. As well as the twelve catalogue colours, Tresor Paris are happy to create a bespoke order, using crystals in customised colours or shades. This means that as well as creating sparkle by wearing one (or plenty) of Tresor Paris’ jewellery, you can create sparkle reflecting an array of beautiful colours.

The crystals are hardwearing, but due to their delicacy, it is recommended that they are looked after with care, ensuring their sparkle retains.

It is no surprise, that Tresor Paris jewellery collections are so sought after – after all, who doesn’t wish to sparkle?

Greta Garbo’sGlittering Career

GRETA GARBO is a legendary actress whose beauty cannot be contended. From her humble beginnings in Sweden it may have seemed unlikely to Greta that she would go on to become a star of the silver screen.

Greta came from an impoverished family due to her father contracting Spanish flu, resultantly losing his job and tragically dying when Greta was just fourteen. This forced Greta out of school, but led to experiences that allowed her to step into the world of fame. Greta found work in a department store running errands, but this led to modelling opportunities that marked only the beginning of Greta’s forthcoming.

Modelling hats in the millenary department, followed by appearing in a short advertising production for the department store she worked in, opened a door into a career the teenage Garbo had not even considered.

Garbo was soon to launch her career with a leading role in the 1925 Swedish film, The Saga of Gosta Berling. Her outstanding performance caught the eye of Louis Mayer, the chief executive of Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) who brought her to Hollywood, 1925.

Garbo starred in eight silent movies including MGM’s last silent movie, The Kiss. In 1930 Garbo excelled in her first talking

film, Anna Christie, receiving an Academy Award nomination. That same year, she won a second Oscar nomination for her performance in Romance. Garbo was soon to be hitting

a record salary, earning $270,000 per movie.

Many critics consider her performance as Marguerite Gautier in Camille to be her finest, earning her a third Academy Award nomination. Garbo also turned to comedy, and her dramatic performance in Ninotcha (1939) led to a fourth Academy Award nomination.

Garbo’s beauty was striking on screen. It was said that Greta Garbo’s

face had no bad angles. She was picture perfect. Her broad cheek bones and expressive eyebrows would bring envy to the angels themselves and her deep, world-weary voice would be sure to break your heart.

Garbo’s beauty and acting flair was not all that was noticed on screen. Greta Garbo soon became a fashion icon. Although in private she preferred to be subtle in her style, her long rope of pearls and chandelier earrings on show in the 1930 film, Romance, are hard to miss. In memory of her beautiful accessorising, Garbo’s family created a Greta Garbo jewellery collection, mainly consisting of gold pieces, signature stamped reflecting her wonderful style and glamour.
