Team on 3.1! 2! 3! TEAM!

On a team, there is one goal. Play together and win and let nothing get in the way. If the team is a true team, that is the case.

Why sports should be “colorblind” to race or religion?

• If you are too worried about how or what people look like, then one is not focused on playing the game.

• When one plays a sport, one has to practice to get better. If you go to practice everyday with a person, you eventually learn that you have to deal with this person no matter the race or beliefs. You build a bond together and along comes with it is a team.

• You cannot be selfish is sports and not play with your teammate because of there race. You can not win games like that.

Football. Examples why sports are “colorblind”

In football you have a white quarterback. You also have offensive linemen of other races. The linemen are still going to block for the quarterback no matter the race. Because he is their teammate and their quarterback, it is their job to protect him.

Baseball. Examples why sports are “colorblind”

In baseball, you might have a pitcher of one race. Then playing the field can be players of all types of races. The pitcher is going to try his hardest to win the ball game. His defense behind him is not going to miss balls because of his race. They are going to try to win because they are a team.

In sports, people are brought together doing something that they both love. This helps see past what is on the outside and just focuses on the inside. You are united and become family and play together to win and have fun. That is what is good about sports. Everyone is equal on the field or court. The win goes to the team that is better.
