We have also received approval
from the Town of Cary to begin
grading work on the new 50M
Outdoor Pool.
All elements of the Phase 1
construction are due to be
completed by June 1st. The
Outdoor Pool will be opening in
September of this year.
As any visitor to TAC can tell,
the Center is well into our
Phase 1 expansion. This phase
of construction includes the
following elements:
• New 225-space parking lot
• New high-level Fitness
Center
• Expanded Spectator Seating
area with new Atrium and
Restrooms
Most of the grading and dirt
removal has been completed in
the parking lot. The new
expanded retention pond is
done and curbs and gutter
should be completed very soon.
A new cellular tower will be
placed in the parking lot and
construction on that will begin
shortly.
Most of the steel for the Fitness
Center is in place. Walls and
interior work are scheduled to
begin shortly.
The last of the footing work on
the Stadium Atrium is being
completed as of this writing.
The new floor will go in next
week and steel will start going
up right after that.
TAC Sponsor, Strategic
Connections is completing the
new audio and video installation

TAP / Learn-to-Swim Skill Spotlight: Floating
Keep your head back and your
stomach and hips up when
you’re floating on your back. If
your legs start to sink, either
raise your arms above your
head (they’re still parallel to
the water) or gently kick your
legs.
If you’re floating on your
stomach, keep your head
down, eyes facing the bottom
of the pool, and your arms
should be extended to both
sides.
Make small adjustments
whenever you’re practicing
floating in the pool.
Floating is one of the most
crucial skills that all swimmers
should learn when they first
start learning how to swim.
Floating is taught in TITANS
1A ,TITANS 2B, and our
Amateur Beginner class!
While floating is a critical skill
to ensure swimmer safety, it’s
also a skill that is built upon
throughout the program and
enforces proper head and body
alignment. Below are some tips,
tricks, and hints!

TAC Proudly Supports
Our employee spotlight for this
month is Hannah Eubanks.
Hannah started working at TAC
in December 2019. Hannah
works both at the customer
service desk and with the
TITANS swim team. During
Hannah’s shifts at the desk she
enjoys greeting our patrons with
a smile and answering all our
patron’s questions while
providing great customer
service.
When Hannah is not at the desk
she is with Erin and our TITANS
swimmers during their dryland
practices. Hannah enjoys
coaching the kids and
encouraging a fit lifestyle while
helping better their swimming.
She focuses on making sure the
kids have proper form, are doing
the work assigned, staying safe
and having fun. You will see
Hannah helping out anyway she
can while at TAC. When
Hannah is not at TAC you will
probably catch her at the gym
because one of her favorite
things to do is workout. Hannah
also enjoys hiking in the
mountains.

TAC has installed two iPads at
the customer service desk to
allow families to register for
classes at TAC on their online
accounts. TAC has also
installed three iPads on the
pool deck. The staff is no
longer using paper excel sheet
schedules! The iPads on the
pool deck display the facility
schedule for each day. This
allows for guards and patrons
to view what is going on in
each pool during the day. This
has been a great addition!
