Tank filter

The Trident tank filters are developed to be placed in a rainwater tank or a man hole. Dirt and residual water is discharged horizontally to the overflow. The clean filtered water flows from the bottom of the filter to the rainwater tank. The Trident filter plate can be removed for cleaning. The Trident tankfilters can provide filtration for roof areas from 150m2 up to 325 m2.

Trident 150Tank filter with skimmer

The Trident 150 Tank filter with skimmer-overflow is similar to the Trident 150 Tank filter. But this tank filter also provides an overflow with skimmer-effect. The main advantage of this effect is that the overflow of the tank only requires one connection. Also, the skimmer-effect improves the the self-cleaning effect of the filter. The Trident filter grid is removable for cleaning. The Trident 150 tank filter is expandable with a filter nozzle for automated cleaning, fine filter, rodent valve, backflow protection and alarm sensor.

Trident, unique filtration technology

The Trident filtration technology which GEP has developed specially for rainwater is unique and can’t be compared with old-fashioned filtering materials such as woven filtration material. The Trident rainwater filters have a large effective filtration surface area. The water flows over the entire filtration surface area to ensure a high capacity and a high efficiency.

The special strips of the Trident filters are made of solid stainless steel and are placed tilted. This is to allow the water to flow through the filter. This ensures a long life span and a very high efficiency. All the Trident filters can be equipped with automatic filter nozzles in order to minimize the required maintenance and to sustain the high efficiency.

The unique Trident filtration technology by GEPBefore you can make use of rainwater in your house you have to make sure that the water is clean. That is why GEP has developed filters based on the Trident filtration technology. This technology ensures that the dirt particles in the rainwater are seperated from the water before it is deposited in the tank. A Trident filter consists out of a

filtration surface which is made out of special triangle shaped strips which are placed tilted towards the flow of the water. The strips are tilted in order to squeeze the water between the strips. Dirt particles remain on the filterplate and are discharged towards the sewer. It is important to keep the filter clean

because the dirt particles can clog up the gaps of the filter. This can be done by using automatic filter nozzles. With the use of a Trident filter you have guaranteed clean rainwater with a high effiencient rainwater system.

The Trident 150 Basement filter can be mounted indoor to a ceiling or a wall bracket. The inlet is equipped with a watertight collar-connection. Waste water is drained horizontally. The clean filtered water flows out of the filter to the rainwater tank. The filter grid can be removed fast and cleanly for cleaning purposes due to the filter box. The Trident 150 Basement filter is expandable with a filter nozzle for automated cleaning, fine filter, rodent valve, backflow protection and alarm sensor.

The Trident 150 Siphon filter is a combination of filter, siphon and calmed inlet. The filter can be placed high in the tank. The residual water flows via the lower mounted siphon with delayed runoff to the sewerage system. The Trident filter grid is removable for cleaning. The Trident 150 Siphon filter is expandable with a filter nozzle for automated cleaning, fine filter, rodent valve, backflow protection and alarm sensor.

The filter baskets by GEP are suitable for infiltration systems and for rainwater systems which supply the garden with rainwater. Also available is a version in which the basket is installed hanging in the rainwater tank. The filter baskets are also available with a shaft for the purpose of underground installation. The filter shafts are available in different dimensions and with various connections.

The Trident 325 rainwater filter is suitable for underground installation, and can be placed in front or on top of a tank. Due to the slight drop in height the filter can also be installed at existing situations. Waste water is discharged vertically and the clean filtered water can be drained either to the left or to the right towards the tank, this is by choice. The Trident filter plate can be removed in order to be cleaned. The Trident 325 filter can provide filtration for roof areas up to 325 m2.

GEP was the first to develop a rainwater system which made use of the IRM technology. IRM or ‘Intelligent Rainwater Management’ allows the pump to automatically switch to tap water once the rainwater is running low.In other words, if the rainwater tank is empty the system does not pump up expensive tap water to fill up the tank.

The IRM control system automatically make use of tap water without filling up the tank. After a rainshower the system automatically switches to rain-water. An IRM-rainwater system allows you to save money and guaran-tees a higher reliability and safety. IRM systems are Belgaqua and KIWA certified.

Pre-tank filter

The Trident 1.650 filter is suitable for undergrond placement. The filter has to be placed horizontally using a spirit level. The nozzles are adjustable and are to be installed on the pressure side of the rainwater system (behind the KIWA-certified breaks). The shaft is cutable with a saw. Several rotatable and telesco-pic covers by GEP can be placed on this shaft. The nozzles can be equipped with timers which automate the cleaning process. The IRM control systems by GEP type B-class, Compact C, D-class and E-class are equipped with automatic control of the filter nozzles.

The Trident 1650 filter can be placed underground. The filter has to be leveled when placed in order to be fully effective. The cleaning nozzles are adjustable and are to be installed at the pressure side of the rainwater. (Behind the KIWA certified intermission.) The cleaning nozzles can be equiped with a timer to automate the entire cleaning process.

With the Varitank-Manhole filter labor intensive customization is no longer required. The plastic collar simplifies the installation. All Varitank-Manhole filters are equiped with a plastic collar which are placed in or on top of the tank. This allows the placement of a plastic raiser with an integrated rainwater filter. This universal system is very flexible as well as easy and quick to install. Also important is the fact that this can be implemented without the use of a crane or other machinery. Additionally, the access to the rainwater tank is very child safe due to the closed filter platform. The shaft is rotatable, thus connecting the pipes is fast and with a minimum amount of connecting pieces. The plastic shaft is fast and easy shortened with the use of a saw in order to level the cover perfectly with the ground level. Additionally, the cover is also telescopic and rotatable so that the wide assortment of covers can fit. These covers can all be placed and installed by hand.

The Varitank-Manhole filter can be installed on concrete tanks, plastic Blueline tanks, Flatline tanks and other similar tanks.

For relatively large projects with commercial purposes there are other terms and conditions in regards to projects with domestic purposes. GEP has designed special systems for such large projects; the so-called IRM® Hybrid systems. Similar to the domestic systems, the hybrid systems allow the rainwater to first flow from the roof to the filter. Inside the Trident filter the rainwater is filtered. GEP has an assortment of different types of filters with different filter capacities, optional with prefab automatic

filter nozzles which allow easy and automatic cleaning. The clean filtered water is stored in tanks. GEP has several tanks of different sized which vary from several thousand to several tens of thousands of litres. GEP offers tanks which are made of plastic, metal, steel or concrete. The water distribution in the building is controlled by the industrial IRM® control systems by GEP. These systems are available in different sizes which vary from 5 till 100 m3 of water per hour.

This Trident technology is a development by GEP and is based on the capillary effect of rainwater. The rainwater is pushed through the special shape of the Trident filter and is slowed down and forced towards the drainage. The special lamellar shaped Trident filter gaps filter the water very efficient and effectively.

This Trident technology is characterized by a rapid separation of waste- and clean water, and with a maximum efficiency. Furthermore, due to the special filter principal there is a slight drop between inlet and outlet.

To minimalize service and maintenance all industrial Trident filters are equipped with filter nozzles. This allows automated cleaning at set times which ensures a long-term high efficiency of the filter.

The Trident technology represents good filtration of rainwater with high efficiency, low maintenance and slight height difference between the inlet and outlet.
