Global Entrepreneurship Weekend
What is it?
A two day event where MBA students, Masters Students and Professionals from different spheres will pitch their business ideas, develop business plans, extend their professional networks and meet wi th VCs , Bus iness Ange l s , success fu l entrepreneurs, and distinguished professors from Zhejiang University, Babson College and EMLYON Business School.
Participants will be recruited through the internet (website is being created), university channels and social media.
Time and place
April 8th – 9th, 2011
Zhejiang University, Hangzhou
Expected Judging Panel Includes
The intended judging panel will include venture capitalists, business angels, entrepreneurial experienced mentors, and local professionals.
Schedule
The first day of the event (starting Friday evening) would be devoted to business idea pitches. All pitches will be evaluated and the best ideas will be chosen for further development. Participants that have not been chosen as leading team members will join the winning pitches and help those teams develop their ideas further.
The second day (starting Saturday morning) of the event will be devoted to idea development and business launch planning (i.e. conducting market research, analyzing the market, competitor analysis, customer benefits, website design/development, etc.). Participants would work in teams receiving support and advice from entrepreneurially experienced professors and local entrepreneurs.
At the end of the day (Saturday) teams will present their developed ideas in front of the judging panel who will provide feedback and choose a winner.
Coaching sessions and workshops on business creation topics will also be schedule throughout the weekend.

Judging Panel
The judging panel will include venture capitalists, business angels, experienced mentors, and local professionals from the world of Entrepreneurship.
Day 1: Friday, April 8th
The event will start on Friday evening and be devoted to presenting business ideas. All presentations will be discussed by our judging panel, and the best ideas will be chosen for further development. Groups will be formed on a voluntary basis for the second day of activities.
Day 2: Saturday, April 9th
The second day will begin on Saturday morning and will be devoted to developing a feasibility plan —considering flaws, operational and logistical concerns, and executability. Participants will work in teams, receiving support and advice from experienced professors and local entrepreneurs.
At the end of the day, teams will re-present their newly developed ideas. The judging panel once again will provide feedback and select a winner. Mentors will provide groups with professional assistance and share their insights and business experience throughout the day.

活动流程：
初赛(4月8日晚上)：参赛者展示创业项目，评委团评选出决赛晋级者。被淘汰选手（经与晋级队伍协商一致）有机会加入晋级队伍继续比赛。

决赛(4月9日)：晋级团队对创业项目的可行性和执行等方面进行深入与完善，各组将由专业的导师进行指导，最后各团队展示完整的商业计划，由评委团评选最终优胜者。商业计划应包括市场、竞争、营销、运作、管理和财务等方面。
