Summer Bible Class

We will offer a Bible class during the summer months. The topic will be the Ten Commandments, which instruct us in holy living to show our love for Christ, who loved us first. The class continues this Thursday, June 8 at 10:30. Each session will also be repeated the following Tuesday evening at 7:00 (so the lesson from last Thursday will also be presented on June 13 at 7:00).

Summer Sunday Donuts and Coffee

We are continuing the summer Sunday morning donuts and coffee in the Fireside Room beginning June 11. If you would be interested in helping us serve between early/late and after late service, or if you would like to donate towards the morning treats, please sign up in the Fireside Room. This fellowship time has been well received by everyone and is a great way to greet members and visitors to our church. Please consider helping. If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Zastrow at 920-723-8731 or [email protected].

Craft Group Join the Craft Group on Monday, June 19 at 6 pm when we will make Origami boxes and

flowers. All supplies will be provided. Samples of the finished projects can be found in the Fireside Room.

Voters’ Meeting A voters’ meeting will be held on Sunday, June 25 at 10:45 am. The main purpose of the

meeting will be to discuss and act on the 2017/2018 budget. Copies of the proposed budget can be found in the Fireside Room. All members are invited to participate in the discussion.

TSL Work Morning The first of the summer TSL work mornings will be held this coming Tuesday, June 13,

beginning at 8:00 am in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Western Avenue campus. A variety of tasks need to be completed as we finish up the just completed school year and start getting ready for the next one. Whether you can help just a few minutes or stay longer, all help is appreciated!

TSL at Glenn's Brathaus

TSL will be serving at Glenn's Brathaus on Saturday, July 1. We are looking for friends from our congregations who can help that day. A morning shift (9:30 am until noon) and an afternoon shift (noon to about 3:00 pm) are available. We are looking for people to work the counter taking orders and filling them as well as some grilling help. If you can be of assistance, please contact Mr. Moeller at [email protected] or via telephone at 261-0327 or 261-3615. Proceeds from our service are used to help fund student activities at TSL.

Our Ministry at Trinity

A Look Ahead

The summer months are here. Vacations and summer activities will add to all our schedules. Don’t let the schedule crowd out worship of your Savior. We need the assurance of our Savior’s love and forgiveness year round. If you can’t come to church here at Trinity because you are away, find another WELS congregation to attend in the area.

Remember your offerings for the Lord’s work at Trinity too. Our expenses don’t go away just because we travel away to enjoy the summer. Even expenses for Trinity-St. Luke’s School don’t stop when the students are on vacation. Teacher salaries need to be paid. As we head into summer, our offerings are $7355 behind expenses. This is just a reminder to continue to bring your offerings to the Lord for our work at Trinity during the summer. And, if you can, we hope you can find a little extra to help us catch up with our expenses.

Centennial Offering – Thanks be to God! You only have a few weeks left to show your thankfulness for 100 years of blessings to

Trinity. As of the end of May, we have reached our goal of $12,350 for the WELS Pakistan Sunday School Ministry, thanks to the generous gift of memorials by the Eugene Zautner Family. For the same time period, we have collected $46,104 for Trinity debt reduction (which is 53% of our $87,650 goal).

If you have already given, thank you for what you have done. Is there more you can do to help? If you have not given to this special offering, can you examine your hearts to either reconsider making a gift? Or if you have been meaning to give but just haven’t, could you make it more of a priority to do it now before the end of our appeal on June 30?

To meet our goal, we need $41,546 for debt reduction. We have come a long way. Our board is confident that our congregation can meet this $100,000 goal with prayer and thanksgiving for the blessings God has given to Trinity in the 100 years of its existence. If you need additional envelopes, you will find them near the easels in the bell tower area.

You can also still text your contributions using the “Text to Give” service. To give to the Pakistan Sunday School Ministry use the code “PakSS” and for the debt retirement use the code “Anniv”. As always, any gift given to Trinity is so greatly appreciated and helps to fulfill God’s mission of spreading his Gospel of forgiveness and peace through Jesus to all the world.
