Don’t drop a class without
first talking to an advisor
or financial aid. Dropping a
class could cause issues
for you with financial aid.
If you fail a class with a D
or F, and need to retake
the class, the Financial Aid
office will NOT automatical-
ly pay for you to retake the
class. You will need to
write a letter to Financial
aid asking them to repay
for the class.
When you are printing on
campus, be sure your
printer is set to Black and
White (BW). Many times,
the computers are set to
print in color, costing
you .35 cents instead
of .08 cents for a black
and white copy.
Don’t forget about your
Financial Aid. Now is the
time when you should be
completing your FAFSA
online at
https://fafsa.ed.gov/. For
the Fall 2017-Spring 2018
school year, remember
that you should be using
your 2015 TAXES! In other
words, the SAME EXACT
information you used last
year, will be used this year.
Any time you are
completing the FAFSA, your
name should match
EXACTLY as it is stated on
your Social Security Card.
Be sure to write down and
keep your and your par-
ents FSAID in a safe place.
You will need it!
We know Financial Aid can
be complicated, if you
have any questions or
issues, come see us. We
can help!
All students have 24/7
free tutoring available
through Tutor.com. The
link can be found on your
Moodle. If not, come and
see Norma or Angie, they
can request the link to be
added.
Read your emails!! We
recommend you check it
at least once a week!
If you are about to
graduate, you need to do a
GRAD CHECK. Set up an
appointment with an
Advisor at the One Stop to
complete the process.
Remember, TRIO is here to
help answer all your
questions. Come see us
anytime.
If you were accepted
into the TRiO program
and have never met
with a TRiO advisor,
you run the risk of be-
ing dropped from the
program. If we don’t
see you, we cannot
help you and if we
don’t help you, we
cannot report you as a
participant with TRiO.
So, please, come and
see us if you haven’t
already.
