Private Sector participation / letters of intent:
Truckers Town™ has receuved a number of written submissiosn of intent to participate
and acquire property within the planned Transport and logistics hub(s) that will be
idnetified and developed by our consortium.
In some cases the participants will prefer to rent facilities and in others ther eis a
definitel indication to purchsae outright is a sectoral title environmet or a separate
frehold title. Enquiries and suggestions have also been received, proposing that we
should consider a Public-Private sector participation project (PPP) where the necessary
land is laready lonwed by the public sector for example( SANRAL/ Municipality/
Transnet).
A preliminary feasibility study is required, to enable the propsective participants to
evaluate the proposals and to provide inputs that will strengthen and enhance the
proposed development of Country-wide integrated Transport and Logistics hubs, under
