PVSD Bullying Definition
AB 1156, as of July 1, 2012, encourages the
inclusion of policies and procedures aimed at
the prevention of bullying in comprehensive
school safety plans. The bill also requires the
Department of Justice and the State Department
of Education to contract to provide training in
the prevention of bullying, as defined in the bill.
Read AB 1156 here.
The Pleasant Valley School District has
instituted the Safe and Civil Schools: CHAMPS
approach on each campus. The strategies
addressed in CHAMPS focus on our continued
effort to Response to Intervention (RtI),
clarifying expectations, and providing
meaningful professional development for
faculty.
The PVSD Bullying program includes
procedures for reporting and investigating
alleged acts of bullying. This includes a rubric
to determine if it was an act of bullying.
More Information regarding how bullying is
reported, investigated and dealt with can be
found on the Bullying Webpage on the PVSD
Website
