    Susan brings to the Board of Trustees decades of executive experience with a diverse range of businesses on an international level. She has lived and worked in Australia, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

    Westover admits girls from all around the world and, just a few years later, graduates outstanding young women, Susan said. This is an impres-sive accomplishment, happening as it does year after year after year. I am pleased to become involved with Westover to help make sure the Schools good work will continue.

    Recently retired as Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer for The Economist Group, Susan was responsible for The Economist brand worldwide, advertising, social media, and public relations. Susan has an M.A. in East Asian Studies Anthropology and a B.A. in East Asian Studies Art History from Yale University. Susan and her husband, Richard Rosenbloom, reside in Redding, Connecticut. She is a board member of Highstead and a member of the Board of Finance in Redding.

    lily Hurlimann 72ViCe PreSident

    Lily retired in 2014 from her position at Palo Alto Medical Foundation as a Lean Consultant after working for several years in senior management.

    Lily holds a B.A. in Biology and History from Tufts University and an M.B.A. in Health Care Management from Boston Universitys School of Management. Lily has served on a number of non-profit community boards and school foundation boards where she was active in fundraising,program development, and strategic planning.

    An Over, both Lily and her sister Mary Ann Hurlimann 69 attended Westover. A long-time resident of Menlo Park, California, Lily and her hus-band, James Bassett, are the parents of two grown sons Brandon, who lives nearby in Redwood City, California, and who works at Stanford Medical Center, and Will, who is an intern at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Lily and James recently welcomed their first grandchild. Lily is interested in travel, especially to areas of historic interest, and hiking.

    Lisa is as an accomplished legal and compliance executive with more than 25 years of experience in government, large law firms, and industry-leading financial institutions.

    Lisa serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer of FS Investment Solutions, LLC. Previously, she had served as a Director and Senior Managing Counsel at Pershing LLC and General Counsel of Lockwood Advisors, both BNY Mellon companies, where she earned Pershings 2013 Responsible Growth Award for delivering exceptional results. Earlier in her career, she was a partner in the business depart-ment and co-chair of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewiss financial institutions practice group, was chief counsel of the Pennsylvania Department

    of Banking, an adjunct professor of federal banking law at Widener University School of Law, and was a staff attorney at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in Washington, DC.

    Lisa holds a B.A. in Economics cum laude from Mount Holyoke College and a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she was Executive Editor of The University of Pittsburgh Law Review.

    An Over, Lisa is a past member of Westovers Alumnae Association Board of Governors, serving as its President from 1999 to 2001; in that role she served as an ex officiomember of Westovers Board of Trustees. She has served as a Class Agent, Class Secretary, Reunion Chair, and a Reunion Gift Chair.

    Lisa is a member of a number of professional legal associations and is a frequent public speaker on banking and securities matters. Currently, she is a board member of the Forum of Executive Women, Philadelphia VIP, and the Committee of Seventy. She has served on the boards of a number of civic, charitable, and non-profit organizations in Philadelphia. Lisa and her husband, Donald Mahoney, reside in Philadelphia.

  • robin Cruz mCClearn 83, P18treaSurer

    Robin joined the Board of Trustees after serving as a member of the Alumnae Associations Board of Governors from 2013 to 2016.

    Robin is an attorney with extensive business and management experience. She owns East Avenue Advisors, LLC, an advisory firm providing estate planning and asset management services.

    Prior to 2013, Robin was an owner and operator of E.E. Cruz & Company, a civil engineering and heavy construction company based in New York. Immediately following graduate school Robin worked in banking in Boston. There she led major commercial transactions by underwriting

    large debt offerings for retailers and other large corporations.

    Robin received an A.B. in History from Brown University, a J.D. from Boston University School of Law, and an M.B.A. from Boston University Graduate School of Management.

    At Westover, Robin was a West, a Proctor and a member of the Glee Club. She is the sister of Kelly Cruz McCullers 86 and Susan Cruz Barkey 89, and the cousin of Christina Verduce 93. Westover had a tremendous influence on me and on my sisters, and I am honored for this opportunity to contribute, Robin said.

    Robin and her husband, Cam, reside in Summit, NJ, with daughter Scott and son Peter. Scott is a member of Westovers Class of 2018. Robin is also a Trustee of the Womens Association of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, NJ.

    william donoVan P11, 16CHair, inVeStment Committee

    Bill brings to the Board of Trustees both extensive experience and expertise in the investment field combined with a knowledge of the School that comes with years of being a Westover parent.

    As a parent of a two Westover graduates, Bill said, I appreciate the quality and lasting value of a Westover education. By serving as a Trustee, I look forward to helping the School prosper and continue fulfilling its worthy mission. Bill and his wife, Lisa, are the parents of Anne Donovan 11, a 2015 graduate of Tufts University, and Claire Donovan 16, who is now attending the University of Pennsylvania. The family resides in Brewster, New York.

    Since 2011, Bill has served as President of the United States Steel and Carnegie Pension Fund. He began his career with U.S. Steel in 1980 as an accounting intern. After receiving his law degree in 1985 he was appointed as a tax attorney for the company. In 1994, he joined United States Steel and Carnegie Pension Fund as an investment analyst. Before being named President, he had served as Vice President Investments since 2000. Bill holds a B.A. in Accountingfrom Grove City College and a law degree from Duquesne University School of Law.

    A member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and the American Bar Association, Bill until recently served as a Trustee of the Steelworkers Pension Trust and is currently on the executive committee for the Committee on Investment of Employee Benefit Assets (CIEBA). Bill enjoys travel, reading, playing golf, and watching college basketball and Pittsburgh sports teams.

    Fred and his wife, Terri, share the same appreciation for Westover that their daughter, Paige Clark 11, has for the School and its role in transform-ing the lives of young women. Our daughter chose Westover because it provides a unique opportunity for young women to learn, mature, provide community service, and have fun, Fred noted. As a Trustee, I hope to be able to support the Schools mission and ensure that future generations are provided this great opportunity.

    Since 2000, Fred has served as the President of Thule Inc., a division of the Swedish manufacturer of outdoor recreation transportation equipment. He joined Thule Inc, which is based in Seymour, CT, in 1993.

    He is the Chairman of the Outdoor Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation established to inspire and grow future generations of outdoor enthusiasts, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Outdoor Industry Association, a premier trade association for companies in the active outdoor recreation business. Fred holds a B.A. from Western New England College and an M.B.A. from the University of New Haven.

    In addition to Paige, who was Second Head of School during her senior year at Westover and then attended Dickinson College, Fred and Terri are the parents of a son, Wyatt. The family resides in Woodbury, CT. Freds interests include biking, skiing, and fly fishing.

    Dom is serving on the Board of Trustees for the second time. As Co-President of the Westover Parents Council for the 2013-2014 year, Dom was its representative on the board that year. Dom and his wife, Dawn, are the parents of two daughters, Paige a member of the Class of 2014 and Ava. The family resides in Watertown, Connecticut.

    Dom is the Judge of Probate for Connecticuts Region 22 Probate District, and has a private law practice with locations in Stamford and Watertown. His areas of practice include estate planning, probate, business counsel, and asset protection. He holds a B.S. in Allied Health and Medical Tech-nology from the University of Connecticut, an M.B.A. in Marketing from the University of New Haven, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

    In addition to his volunteer work for Westover, Dom is a member of the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Probate Assembly and serves on the Education Committee and the Court Security Committee. He is a member of the National College of Probate Judges and is a member of several sections of the American Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association.
