What does gold remind you of? (Let kids answer.) Gold reminds me of Heaven, where God lives. The Bible tells us that in Heaven there is a street of gold. This circle reminds me of God. The circle has no beginning or end. God has no beginning or ending. He has always lived. A word we use to say that is “eternal”. God is eternal. In the Bible, God’s book, we read, “God so loved the world” (John 3:16). That means God loves you! God wants you to have eternal life. That is a wonderful new life and friendship with God that starts now and will go on forever with Him in Heaven, a beauful, happy place. 3. Show ribbon. Bring the ring up around the ribbon. Although you cannot see the Holy Spirit you will see Him beginning to change you. As you read the Bible, the Holy Spirit will help you know what God wants you to do and He will even help you do it! You will become more and more like the Lord Jesus as you obey Him. Talk to Him about everything. He’s always with you! God With You

Truth to communicate: When a person receives Jesus as his Saviour God, the Holy Spirit, comes to live in him.

Material: Gold ring, Ribbon, Bible

Presentation:2. Show ring to children.

That is a wonderful new life and friendship with God that starts now and will go on forever with Him in Heaven, a beautiful, happy place.

3. Show ribbon. Bring the ring up around the ribbon. When you perform the trick the ring must be near the top of the ribbon.

Let’s let this ribbon represent you. Just as the ribbon and this gold ring are separate, you are separated from God because of your sin. Sin is doing, saying or thinking things that go against God’s rules. (Give a few examples.)But God did an amazing thing so you could be with Him! Who knows what it is? (Let children respond, telling about the work of Jesus on the cross. Fill in any important points they miss, but keep it brief.) Trusting Jesus as your Saviour is God’s only way to be forgiven. If you haven’t yet done that, you can believe in Jesus as your Saviour today! Something amazing happens when a person receives Jesus as his Saviour. God, the Holy Spirit, comes to live in him!

4. Throw the ring downwards while giving it a slight spin. The bottom of the ring will pass through the loop resulting in a knot.

If you have trusted in Jesus as your Saviour, you are no longer separated from God. Instead, He is with you now and He will never leave you. (Read Hebrews 13:5 from Bible.) “God has said, “I will never leave you. I will never desert you. ” (NIrV) Because God the Holy Spirit is always with you, you have fellowship, or an all-the-time friendship with God.

2. Presentation: Show ring to children.

1. Preparation: Tie a length of ribbon in a loop. 3. Bring the ring up around the ribbon. When you will perform the trick the ring must be near the top of the ribbon.

4. You must throw the ring downwards while giving it a slight spin. The bottom of the ring will pass through the loop resulting in a knot.

5. In the next two photos we used a thread to should what must happen in order for the trick to work. The back side of the ring will spin downwards and loop in front of the bottom of the ribbon. When its descent is complete the knot will tighten by itself. Try looping the ring through the ribbon as shown in the photos a few times before you try the trick so you have a good idea of how it works.

When you are ready to practice, take your time and expect the ring to fall on the floor many times before you successfully learn the trick, but don’t give up. The result of the trick is worth all the practice.
