Happy New Year to everyone and we hope you all had a very good Christmas. For some it was a holiday break and for others it was just a day or two with the family. We have had a good break with all the family here sharing food, drink and good times. So often you here interviews with various people on what Christmas means to them. For some it is a religious event. For some it is the only time the family gets together and for others it is the giving and receiving of presents that is the main attraction. Finally some people just love the holidays and the chance to travel, sit on the beach and maybe even go shopping that makes this a great time of the year. Personally I love the giving, receiving and close family times!Whatever it is, so many people just love Christmas because it is such a positive time. Seeing family and friends is great and just enjoying the world around us lifts the spirits. There are many critics of the capitalisation of the event but is it really a problem? The huge retail sales help so many small businesses survive the summer and the faces of young children (and many adults) as they see what Santa has brought is a sight to behold. A well chosen gift is as rewarding to the giver as the receiver.Yes there is extra stress getting the house ready or managing the budget or just finding time to get everything done. Also there are many sad times especially for those who lose family and friends...

Clive’s Comments continued… around now and those of split families where kids and parents are pulled apart. This sadness is the same all year and these things are a part of our lives. The overall enjoyment spread across the community far outweighs any down side. So, why do so many people want to destroy it? Why do people want to stop people enjoying what they want from Christmas. There have been many movie characters over time who hate Christmas but these are usually grumpy people a particular issue in the past. What I cannot understand is all those (new and old Australians) that want to stop different aspects. That take satisfaction in upsetting others being happy. I am not fussed if they are of a different religion, have a personal dislike of capitalism or even hold a political bent against the government (whichever flavour) but they should keep it to themselves. What sort of pleasure can anyone get in stopping some else enjoying their life? We are a great country that has done an amazing job in bringing together so many cultures from such varied parts of the world. It is only a minority that want to deflate Christmas. They do it in the name of ‘minority cultures’ but I suspect it is a misguided sense of paternal control. They believe that they know best and that they need to protect everyone else. Really they need to quieten down and leave the rest of us to enjoy what pleasures life has to offer. It is 2018 and another year has rolled past. What will happen this year that will shake our lives? What new trend or new piece of must have technology is going to enter our lives? I like to think back over how things change year on year and try to grasp what will be next. We have all watched Star Trek, Dr Who and Star Wars and we can all imagine those worlds but not how will we get there? Just imagine what your parents would think of the modern TV, phones or even what the kids are doing at school. Most of Australian nurseries have had a good spring and summer has started off quite mild. Cash is moving around the industry better and many nurseries are looking to capital works this autumn. Fresh stock, new cultivars and a positive cashflow means we should be in for a good autumn. We just need to keep the gardening and landscaping communities in there and planting. We are fortunate in Victoria with net population growth in 2016/7 being 160,000. This is from more births than deaths and net migration from over seas and from other states. This increase has resulted in pressures on infrastructure like roads, hospitals and schools which is frustrating. It also has a huge demand for more food, clothing and housing which is plus for our local economy. Prices and sales are okay but staff for production and retailing are at premium. Which will eventually cause wage increases which in turn will bring about a rise in inflation. Hope your New Year and Christmas were good and that we all have a busy and profitable 2018. We will give credit for trays purchased from us and returned in good condition.

Min forward order is 6 trays.

Plants are grown in 50 x 75 mm root trainer tubes. Forestry 70mm and 75 x 110mm tubes available on pre-orders.

Export orders are packed in cartons of 90-100 tubes.

Our terms are pre payment for new customers and 30 days net for established customers. GST will be added.

All tubes are packed and despatched in excellent condition.

Our responsibility ceases when transport company accepts the plants.

Claims for damaged stock should be directed to the transport company and we should be notified within 7 days. Please note that most transport companies have a minimum freight charge.
