An immersive multimedia experience to stimulate all senses

By definition, A Perfect Storm occurs when a combination of events causes an

amazing, unforgettable night. MISO CHIC is the perfect storm, a fusion in perfect

harmony, not only of music, fashion, and arts, but also of love, empathy, creativity,

and beauty. These come together in synchronicity for the greater good, for the

benefit of our children, for they are the future of the world.

MISO CHIC, a concept created to stir the senses, relies in music and arts to

produce overwhelming emotions, such as joy, elation, energy, passion, and furor.

We are all about to share a magical night. MISO CHIC is giving us the chance to

realize the privileges of our lives, and the opportunity to open our hearts to the

world, to those in need, to the less privileged.

America Developing Smiles brings us closer to those who need our help. But it

is through people like you and your generosity that we can continue to provide

education, health, and the tools essential to build a better future.

What a gift, what a blessing this journey has been, to work along a group of

talented and worldwide acclaimed artists, whose greatest trait is their human

sensibility and for that we thank you. Maestro Eduardo Marturet, Nicolas Felizola

and Fernando Duprat we are thankful for sharing your art with us.

On behalf of America Developing Smiles, our volunteers, and the children who

benefit from our work, we thank you all for your support, for being here tonight,

for helping us to continue to sow the seeds of hope in Latin America.

In the words of mother Teresa

Anamaria BasaloD.S.

Music elevates the soul, while fashion heightens your visual senses. After months of planning and preparation, we are pleased to present to you

these artistic concepts together in a total visual spectacle for our first annual MISO CHIC Arts Immersive Experience.

Tonight we are fortunate to share the stage with some truly unique and talented guest artists who are also members of the Miami Symphony Orchestra, featuring our very own Concertmaster Daniel Andai, our Principal oboist Veroslav Taskov, and our pianist Ciro Fodere. With an artistic vision of discovering new talent and promoting emerging guest artists, we are pleased to present the debut of the young Venezuelan soprano, Isabella Fridegotto.

Beyond the artistic reasons for all of us being here this evening, the main purpose and objective is to share in supporting the important social cause America Developing Smiles (ADS). Proceeds from tonight’s event will help benefit more than 3,400 children and youth of low-income levels, that will go towards establishing educational centers and social programs by Asociación Damas Salesianas in Miami, Mexico, Nicaragua, Chile, Colombia, Perú, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic.

So many friends, patrons, sponsors, designers, technicians, and promoters have provided more than a little help in making this a memorable event here in Miami - Executive Producer Fernando Duprat, Choreographer Antonio Drija, and Fashion Designer Nicolás Felizola, who will be showcasing his new collection Vibrations, and has been the main source of inspiration for our extremely rare event tonight.

As always, thank you to our donors, sponsors, volunteers, and future friends for making the Miami Symphony your hometown professional orchestra. Your continued support allows us to bring to you the very best and unique ideas of classical music programming to our beloved South Florida audience.

Daniel Maman, owner of a prestigious gallery in Buenos aires and renowned marchand in the market for Latin American art, opened a new branch in Miami in 2013.Located in the heart of Design District, more precisely on the rst oor of Melin building, the gallery houses more than 2,000 pieces including painting, photography and sculpture. It specializes in Latin American, modern and contemporary art. Handling at the same time works of young and renowned artists in the international market.Among the established artists, Maman Fine Art represents the Colombian master Fernando Botero who has conquered Asian collectors with his exhibitions in Japan and Singapore. At the year-end he will be exhibiting at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Beijing and then in Shanghai. The gallery also exhibits historical kinetic works of Venezuelan master Carlos Cruz-Diez and Argentinean master Julio Le Parc, recently acclaimed for his shows at the Serpentine Gallery in London. This year, the work of Le Parc has been printed by Hermes house through its collection of limited edition scarves exhibited at the last ArtBasel fair in Basel. From Brazil, the gallery presents works by the renowned modern artist Emiliano Di Cavalcan-ti and the contemporary Vik Muniz. From Uruguay, relief works by Miguel Herrera who through his works pays tribute to Life magazine.A highlight at Maman Fine Art is its vast collection of Argentinean concrete art, an avant-garde group of the 40’s. The works of these artists among which are Raúl Lozza and Enio Iommi, are part of the most important Latin American collections such as the recognized Cisneros Foundation.Conceptual art is also featured in the gallery through the work of two prominent Argenti-nean artists like Liliana Porter, living for many years in New York, and Leon Ferrari who exhibi-ted at the MOMA. Young artists like Mondongo group, Lucia Maman, Gustavo Charif and Michael Moore conform as well the Maman Fine Art Collection. No shortage of monumental sculptures in the gallery: Besides the typical characters by Botero the gallery presents the minimalist works of Bastón Díaz, Luis Wells toys, and the large Heads by Raúl Farco.Fashion and design are also part of the vision of the gallery with the purpose of integrating them into visual art. That's why it provides fashion shows by Latin American designers as was the case with Nicolas Felizola, whose models had as a runway sculptures and paintings. The next goal for the gallery is to present Design exhibitions as the Argentinean modern furniture prototypes, which soon will be reaching the exhibition oor.Maman Fine Art is a promoter of art in all its manifestations and promises more attractions to the curious visitors the Design District.

Fernando Duprat is an entrepreneur, business leader, and lifelong supporter of

the arts. He is Director of Nexus+Digiprint, a marketing activation and event production company operating in five countries, and has served as Executive Producer of The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) since 2010. Duprat served as Technical Director for the premiere performance of Jesus Christ Superstar in Caracas, Venezuela, when he was only 19 years old. Afterwards, he attended New York University, where he studied film and television before returning to Caracas to found Nexus, a television commercial production company. Nexus soon earned a reputation for successfully undertaking the most technically demanding projects, and attracted a cadre of young designers helping the company become a leader in the advertising production market.

With the arrival of Carlos Martel as a partner, Nexus expanded operations to live events and

quickly attained the same level of success that it had attained as a television production house. Duprat then capitalized on the national success of Nexus to establish an international presence, starting with offices in Miami. This operation later merged with Digiprint, a large-scale digital printing business founded by Guillermo Torres, to form Nexus+Digiprint. Today there are Nexus offices and production facilities in Mexico, Panama, Venezuela, and Argentina.

A passionate music lover, Duprat serves as Special Advisor to EXIB Musica, an international music market based in Bilbao, Spain, and has lent his support to numerous musicians over the years. Duprat’s relationship with the Miami Symphony and his friendship with conductor Eduardo Marturet date back to 1994.

Recently Duprat served as Producer for the Orchestra’s first-ever gala at the Crystal Palace in Miami, where he impressed the audience with his charismatic performance on the triangle. He was also the Creative Director of the sold-out Tribute to Simón Díaz concert at the Olympia Theater in Miami, in honor of the universally-acclaimed author of Caballo Viejo and many other classics of Latin American music.

Over the years, Duprat has introduced a number of technical innovations complementing the music and enhancing the public’s concert-going experience, thus helping to keep every MISO event fresh and exciting, and helping further The Miami Symphony Orchestra’s mission of bringing the best international music to Miami.

ISABELLA FRIDEGOTTO

Isabella Fridegotto was born in Valencia, Venezuela, and developed her love for both

the oboe and singing at the Conservatory of Music of Carabobo, Venezuela. In 2011, she joined the National System of Youth and Children Orchestra and Choir of Venezuela and the Mozart Juvenile Symphonic Orchestra of Valencia. In 2013, Fridegotto participated in a summer workshop for oboe and music theory at the International School of Music of the Asturias’ Prince Foundation in Oviedo, Spain, led by Yuri Nasushkin, Hugo Carrio, Jesus Fuster Palmer, and Ana Perez Martinez. In 2014, Fridegotto performed at the XXII Voice Festival of Juan XXIII, as special guest of singer Jose David Heredia at the Sambil Auditory of Valencia, and for the Juntos y Revueltos concert in Valencia.

She has studied privately on voice with tenors Angel Linare, Sergio Marin, and baritone William Alvarado from the University of Wisconsin, along with a masterly course in the Delia Dorta Singing Academy. Today, Fridegotto performs as part of the Miami Art Charter School’s choir, and feels very honored to be introduced by The Miami Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Eduardo Marturet.

Isabella is signed to Bissi Entertainment.

Valeria started her musical training at the Talent Zone Musical Theater program at the Doral Conservatory when she was just four years old. Encouraged by her teachers, her

personality and dedication allowed her to land rolls as Flounder in the Little Mermaid, and Tinkerbell in Peter Pan. Supported by her singing coach, she began developing her voice to allow for a complete link with the characters.
