Turkish Airlines in Cape Town has received the exciting & long-awaited news that, with effect from Monday, 15 November 2021, travellers from South Africa may enter Turkey!

MONTENEGRO(CONVENIENT DESTINATION)

Turkish Airlines offers convenient access to Podgorica, Montenegro for travellers from South Africa with good connections & an early arrival!

Although Turkish Airlines offers a daily schedule to Podgorica (TGD), the quickest option for travellers from South Africa is the Saturday flight from SA to Istanbul that connects perfectly with the departing flight to TGD at 08h00 on the Sunday morning.

HAPPY TRAVELS!

• Starting from 15 November 2021, passengers from South Africa,

or who have been in South Africa in the last 14 days, may be

accepted by Turkish Airlines for travel to Turkey from South Africa

provided they submit a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of

arrival in Turkey.

• Moreover, these passengers shall be exempt from the application

of quarantine if they;

1. Submit a negative PCR test taken within a maximum of 72

hours before arrival in Turkey.

2. and, documented proof that they have received a minimum

of 2 doses of vaccine approved by WHO (1 dose of Johnson

& Johnson) – a minimum of 14 days must have passed since

receiving the 2nd dose.

3. Passengers under the age of 12 years are exempt from

submitting a PCR test.

4. Passengers between the ages of 12 & 18 years who are not

vaccinated, must be tested (PCR) at their residence.

a) If the result is negative, they do not need to quarantine.b) If they are tested positive, they will have to quarantine

as per below terms.

• Passengers who cannot provide vaccination documents must

enter quarantine for 14 days at their place of residence or an

address that they declare.

1. This period of quarantine will be terminated subject to the

individual providing a negative PCR test taken on the 10th

day of quarantine.

2. Individuals who do not provide a negative PCR test on the

10th day of quarantine must complete the full 14 days of

quarantine.

NB! Unvaccinated passengers must still provide a negative PCR

test taken within 72 hours of arrival in Turkey in order to be

accepted to travel to Turkey!
