“Writing a novel is like
driving a car at night.
You can only see to
the end of your head-
lights; but you can
make the whole trip
that way.”
– E. L. Doctorow
“If you wait for inspira-
tion to write; you’re
not a writer, you’re a
waiter.”
– Dan Poynter
“The faster I write, the
better my output. If
I’m going slow, I’m in
trouble. It means I’m
pushing the words
instead of being
pulled by them.”
– Raymond Chandler

Samantha Warren is a fantasy and science fiction author who spends her days immersed in
dragons, spaceships, and vampires. With her pet dragon, Anethesis, she ventured to the ends
of the universe, but the cost of space travel cut into her sock fetish fund, so she sold her ship
and returned home. When she isn’t writing, she’s milking cows or trying to feed them Pop-
Tarts. She spends a lot of time in her weed patch (aka: garden),
watching any show featuring Gordon Ramsay, or posting random
things on her blog.

Elizabeth Chalker is still in the furnace of lifes' calamities and fighting the
good fight of faith and endurance, keeping her eyes on the prize of heaven.
Before serious, physical illness devestated her body, Elizabeth was on the
fast track as a successful psychologist and addictions specialist, working
with violent juvenile offenders and their families, near completion of her
third graduate degree. Her life is a testimony of faith that is steadfast and
remains no matter the seemingly dark, unjust, and treacherous circum-
stances of life. She resides in Lighthouse Point, Florida. Elizabeth continues
to minister to those in need and aspires to show God's glory through every
breath she takes.
Blood Bound By: Karina Gioertz
Once inseparable, Scott McCarthy and his cousins Ryan and Ben have been
alienated from each other for over a decade. When Tommy, the youngest of
the four cousins, is arrested for murder the McCarthy Boys turn to each other
once more, as they do the only thing that comes naturally ~ whatever it takes
to uncover the truth, regardless of the cost or consequence. As more secrets
rise to the surface and lies become unveiled, Scott clings tightly to the two
things he knows for certain. He had known killers and he had known Tommy.
The two did not overlap.

With an unlikely ally, Father Michael will prepare for the grim confrontation as
he grapples with his sworn duty to God and the shreds of humanity left beating

My Share of Pain
By: Rahima Yasin
You were the only one
My heart ever spoke to
You left and it broke
Into myriad little pieces
What a traitor you emerged
From that shell of so-called
love
Its a wretched scene to sight
And now you applaud
For you have finally sought
The most awaited show
The sight of my bleeding heart
And to even imagine your love
Was ever mine to take
Alas! It was just an impending
dream
How I wish it was an incubus,
A nightmarish portion of my
night
This burden thats mine to bear
Weighs upon me like an excru-
ciating pain
Now I only care for the little
share
Of hope that overcomes my
despair.
