MISSION STATEMENT OF ST. CECILIA Our parish is a living sign of God’s saving Word. The people of St. Cecilia parish have been called by God to foster a genuine,

caring Catholic Christian community. He empowers us to be a visible sign of the Kingdom of God in the world.

Confessions are heard every Saturday 8:30—9:00 am and Wednesday 7:00 to 8:00 pm. (3-4 priests), or during the week with an appointment. Please call the office 544-3250.

Mission News Mission News this month continues the letter from Father Pari-mal Pereira, CSC, of Moreau House, Bangladesh: “ Please keep us in your list and continues to support us in our ministry mainly among the poor and elderly. Education is a must for these people. There is no future for them without it. Education and awareness will help them to be on their own; fight for their right to live; right to justice as there is tremendous pressure on them from non-tribal and from rich people. “I am grateful to the people of St. Cecilia as they have been very generous toward our people. They have given life to many through their generous donations, support and prayers. In spite of that I will make a special appeal to you if you find some individuals who could contribute something more, mainly for education and health care regularly. Their sacrifi-cial and compassionate love will generate and energize new hope in the hopeless and despaired condition of these people. Please consider this appeal and try to do something for these people. God will take care of the rest. “Thank you so much for all that you have done for us, for all that you have been doing for us. Semana Santa Domingo De Pascua Abril 8, 12:45 pm

Alégrense y Regocíjense Durante los primeros tres o cuatro siglos del cristianismo, si se le pregun-taba a un cristiano el nombre de las fiestas de la Iglesia, su respuesta habr-ía sido una mirada de sorpresa porque había una sola fiesta: la Resurrección del Señor. Cada domingo era una cele-bración de la gran fiesta. A pesar de que nuestro calendario tiene ahora muchas fiestas hermosas y santas, continuamente debemos ser llamados de nuevo al hecho de que todas estas fiestas existen a causa de la fiesta del paso (Pascua) de Cristo de la muerte a la vida. El Salmo de hoy proclama este mensaje así: “Este es el día”. No es uno de muchos días, pero es el día de todos los días, el que da a todos los demás su ori-gen, propósito, significado y destino. Escuchen con atención el discurso de Pedro en Hechos recordando la Pasión, las palabras del apóstol Pablo y al recuento que hacen María Magdalena, Juan y Pedro al encontrar la tumba vacía, y oirán las obras ma-ravillosas que Dios ha hecho para nosotros en Cristo. ¡Alégrense y regocíjense! Tradiciones de Nuestra Fe Pascua viene de una palabra hebrea pesah que quiere decir “lugar de pastos” e indica el final de un periodo de ayuno. La Pascua Judía celebra la libertad del cautiverio de Egipto. El cristianismo, siendo en su origen una secta judía, tomo la fiesta de la Pascua para celebrar la muerte y resurrección de Jesús quien nos da la libertad del cautiverio pecaminoso de nuestras vidas. Eventualmente el uso de “Pascua” pasó a indicar cualquier evento en la vida de Jesús que añade a la libertad que nos obtu-vo en su vida, cruz y resurrección. He aquí porque tradicional-mente se hablaba de la Pascua del Nacimiento, la Pascua Flori-da o Pascua de Resurrección y la Pascua del Espíritu Santo (Pentecostés) y todavía en grandes fiestas religiosas del año la gente se saluda con “Felices pascuas”. En EE.UU., Argentina y otros países se celebra la Pascua (Easter en inglés) con la búsqueda de huevos multicolores y supuestamente traídos por una coneja. Hội Đồng Mục Vụ sẽ có phiên họp hằng tháng vào Chúa Nhật, ngày 15 tháng 04 năm 2012 lúc 7:30 sáng tại Kuper center. Kính mời Ban Chấp Hành, đại diện các Hội Đoàn và Ban Ngành cùng tham dự đông đủ.

Mỗi Thứ Tư hàng tuần, giáo xứ chúng ta sẽ có giờ chầu Thánh Thể vào lúc 7:00 giờ đến 9:00 giờ tối. Cộng đoàn Việt nam sẽ phụ trách từ 8:00 giờ đến 8:30 tối và Hội Các Bà Mẹ Công Giáo sẽ phụ trách xướng kinh trong giờ chầu tuần này.

Để buổi lễ được giữ phần trang nghiêm, xin các bậc phụ huynh vui lòng để ý và gìn giữ các con em nhỏ của mình khi tham dự Thánh Lễ và cũng xin vui lòng tắt hoặc chuyển điện thoại cầm tay sang hệ thống rung..

Ngày giờ Rửa Tội cho các con em trong Cộng Đoàn là ngày Chúa Nhật thứ nhất trong tháng vào lúc 2:30 trưa. Cộng Đoàn sẽ có giờ chuẩn bị tâm hồn cho các Phụ Huynh vào ngày Thứ Sáu cuối tuần trong tháng lúc 7:30 chiều. Xin liên lạc Thầy Sáu Ngô Đình Đông tại số 714-544-9186 để biết thêm chi tiết.

Đoàn Thiếu Nhi Thánh Thể xin nhận ống lon, chai bia, nuớc ngọt vào các Thánh Lễ chiều thứ Bẩy để gây quỹ sinh hoạt cho Đoàn. Chúng con sẽ có xe truck đậu ở bãi đậu xe gần tháp chuông Nhà Thờ. Vì phương tiện vận chuyển có giới hạn, cho nên chúng con không lấy bình sữa, chai nuớc mắm và các chai ruợu lớn. Xin chân thành cám ơn.

Đoàn Liên Minh Thánh Tâm Cộng Đoàn Tustin kính mời Quí Bác, Quí Anh trưởng gia đình gia nhập Đoàn để cùng nhau tôn thờ Thánh Tâm Chúa, học hỏi chia sẻ cảm nhiệm sống lời Chúa , tham gia các công tác phục vụ Cộng Đoàn với tôn chỉ “Nước Cha Trị Đến”.
