Register your team at www.strutyourmutt.info• Click on the “START A TEAM” button, it will assist you in creating your team.• Set a team fundraising goal and name your team.• Design a personal page in less than 10 minutes. • Add your personal story and upload pictures of your dog(s)!• Upload your personal email address book to help you reach out to friends and family.• Send emails asking and thanking people for donations.• When you are registered, you can update your Facebook status or send a tweet, with a link to your personal page. Click on the “Email” tab in your participant center, you’ll see the links.

Recruit team members and build team spirit!• Recruit co-captains (from different office departments or friends who can get their own friends to join). Encourage everyone to sign up online and set up their personal page.• Remind everyone that people most often join teams and contribute money simply BECAUSE THEY WERE ASKED and because they care about animals!

Communicate and Share Your Enthusiasm.• Place flyers and Team Sign Up poster in popular gathering places (reception areas, cafeterias, staff break rooms).• Advertise in your company, apartment or neighborhood association newsletter.• Keep track of your team members’ progress and report successes to everyone. Follow up with members who are falling behind in donations, offer your support!• MATCHING GIFTS: please contact the Human Resources Department of your company and inquire if they have a matching gift program. Send your matching gift form to SPCA of Texas/2400 Lone Star Drive/Dallas, TX 75212. NOTE: matching gifts will not be posted until the check is actually received from the donating company. Corporations match gifts on a different timetable throughout the year. If you have questions regarding your matching gift, contact your company directly.
