MOVIE NIGHT Do You Believe? Join us for the next movie Night at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Hall on Sunday 10 September at 7pm. A dozen different souls - all moving in different directions, all longing for something more. As their lives unexpectedly intersect, they each are about to discover there is a power in the Cross of Christ … even if they don’t yet believe it. When a local pastor is shaken to the core by the visible faith of an old street-corner preacher, he is reminded that true belief always requires action. His response ignites a faith-fueled journey that powerfully impacts everyone it touches in ways that only God could orchestrate. More than a movie, it’s a question we all must answer in our lifetime: DO YOU BELIEVE?

Rated M and still just $5 which gets you a drink and popcorn as well as the movie.

All are welcome! Bring a friend!

28th /29th October 2017

LCA Bishop John Henderson has released this message regarding same-sex marriage and the postal vote. These are turbulent times in Australian politics and social opinion. At the forefront of this turmoil is the matter of the recognition at law of same-sex marriages. The issue itself has been with us for several years, and through that time the Lutheran Church of Australia has not altered its view on marriage, and does not intend to do so. What repercussions that might have for us remains to be seen Go to www.lca.org.au for helpful resources for conversation

Psalm 138

With all my heart I praise you, LORD. In the presence of angels I sing your praises. I worship at your holy temple and praise you for your love and your faithfulness. You were true to your word and made yourself more famous than ever before When I asked for your help, you answered my prayer and gave me courage. All kings on this earth have heard your promises, LORD, and they will praise you. You are so famous that they will sing about the things you have done. Though you are above us all, you care for humble people, and you keep a close watch on everyone who is proud. I am surrounded by trouble, but you protect me against my angry enemies. With your own powerful arm you keep me safe. You, LORD, will always treat me with kindness. Your love never fails. You have made us what we are. Don’t give up on us now! Prayer of the day Almighty and eternal God, help us to grow in faith, hope, and love. Make us love what you command, and give to us what you promise. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
