Being bilingual supports children in maintaining strong ties with their families, culture, and community.

Bilinguals have the ability to read and think in two (or more) different languages. This promotes higher levels of abstract thought, which is important to learning.

Globally, bilingual and biliterate adults have more job opportunities than monolingual adults.

¿QUÉ ES? La lectoescritura bilingüe es una forma de educación bilingüe en la que a los estudiantes se les enseña las destrezas de lenguaje y contenido académico en dos idiomas.
