responsibilities for all positions
Fulfill the UBS’ mandate: To optimize the university experience for Undergraduate students at Schulich through academic, social, and professional forums.
Act as a responsible student leader and
ambassador for Schulich.
Represent the student body in various faculty
meetings; attend all weekly UBS team
meetings.
Ensure that all expenditures have been authorized by the UBS.
You will be expected to….
Prevent conflicts between all recognized
Schulich clubs, societies, and associations.
EXECUTIVE MEMBERS
presidentWho can apply? Any Schulich student who is (1) entering into their 4th year, (2) NOT going on exchange during Fall 2016 or Winter 2017, and (3) NOT an Executive member of any York or Schulich club, society, or association.
Held the position during the 2015-2016 term: Jessica Gahtan
responsibilities include• Setting a vision and long-term strategy • Preparing an agenda for all meetings (Dean Meetings, Weekly Executive Meetings, Club Presidents Meetings) • Act as a link between students and faculty by sitting on Committees (Includes: Executive Council, Faculty Council,
BBA/iBBA Committee, and Student Affairs Committee, Student Representative Roundtable) • To assign Executive Members to sit on Schulich School of Business Committees (including: BBA/iBBA Program
Committee, Executive Committee, and Faculty Council) • Responsible for cash deposits and signing authority on UBS bank account • Responsible for scheduling meetings with the Dean • Act as the link between the UBS and CABS • Responsible for the oversight of all Executive Members (including setting up formal evaluations of Executive
Members) • Responsible for interacting with the elections CRO and the SCLD office to administer elections on evote.yorku.ca

responsibilities include• Acting as a Chair of Orientation Week and representing Schulich during the summer
on York Orientation Directors Association (YODA) with weekly meetings taking place on Thursdays from May-August
• Planing the Year End Formal • Organizing the Graduating Class Luncheon • Coordinating the Graduating Class Gift • Responsible for cash deposits and signing authority on the UBS bank account • Planning the annual Frost Week trip that takes place during February reading week • Providing support to other UBS members in their roles

responsibilities include• Proposing a strategic budget, that is in the best interests of all Undergraduate students at the
Schulich School of Business, to be published on the website • Producing financial statements that are given to York University for levy purposes, after an
unqualified audit opinion is achieved and to be published on the website • Recording all transactions and maintain records and receipts for external audit purposes including
monthly bank statements and reconciliations • Keeping all financial information strictly confidential until published • Responsible for cash deposits and signing authority on the UBS bank account • Responsible for developing and maintaining proper internal controls • Responsible for maintaining records of non-financial information for audit purposes

responsibilities include•Coordinating and overseeing all sponsorship efforts of the UBS, including the hiring
of sponsorship directors and the assistance of the sponsorship team throughout the year
•Acting as liaison between the UBS and the Schulich Administration with respect to corporate sponsorship including: the Career Development Centre and Alumni Relations
•Acting as a liaison between the Schulich Career Development Centre and the UBS •Responsible for reaching out to prospective members of the Advisory Board •Responsible for maintaining relations with the Office of Development at Schulich

but not limited to: •Homecoming Pub Night •Halloween Pub Night •Super Pub •Multi-Night (Schulich’s Talent Show) •Holiday initiatives (i.e. Thanksgiving Board, Santa Claus) •Smaller-scale social events (i.e. Movie Nights, Game Nights)

responsibilities include• Overseeing the Co-Captains of JDCC • Responsible for maintaining a network of case competitions within external
undergraduate programs • Responsible for reaching out to prospective members of the Advisory Board • Member on the Student Representative Roundtable (SRR) – Includes attending
several meetings per semester • Responsible for communicating with an attending workshops mandated by York
University partners and Student Community and Leadership Development (SCLD) • Responsible for maintaining connections with Alumni Relations

Portal), Schulich Textbook Exchange •Acting as a liaison with the Open Arms Committee to create opportunities for exchange students •Leading a team to create the Annual Yearbook •Responsible for executing and promoting Mental Health initiatives to serve the student body

responsibilities include• Coordinating and participating in all intramural sports and activities with Calumet College, which includes organizing sign
ups at the beginning of each semester, organizing students onto tier 1 or tier 2 teams, choosing captains for each team and submitting registrations forms to Calumet Athletic Representatives
• Organizing the nomination of monthly Athlete of the Month award winners • Ensuring all sports teams have the required Schulich jerseys for each weekly intramural game • Ensuring all sports teams have the minimum gender requirements to play in each weekly intramural game • Managing the Schulich Athletics facebook group, UBS Athletics facebook page, UBS Athletics instagram and UBS Athletics
website • Representing Schulich on the Student Intramural Recreation Council (SIRC) and attend the SIRC monthly meetings held at
Tait McKenzie • Organizing small events for February reading week, such as Bubble Soccer and Archery Tag • Organizing semester tournaments which can include indoor futsal, basketball, dodgeball or volleyball • Organizing annual Schulympics tournament which consists of 3 different sports in an all day tournament • Organizing a year end “Schulich Appreciation” night for all Schulich intramural participants

Held the position during the 2015-2016 term: Damilare Sobowale and Sadaf Chowdhury
responsibilities include• Working with the International Relations office, as well as the UBS, during the summer and
throughout the year to plan events and welcome the incoming international students (including answering questions and helping them transition)
• Promoting events to international students throughout the year, in order to help them feel more integrated into the Schulich community
• Working with the VP Student Life to plan the Annual Multi-Cultural Night • Ensuring that the unique needs of international students are met • Representing International Students on a variety of administrative and faculty committees
second year BBA and ibba representativesWho can apply?
