Ulterion® 614 MBC is an acrylic copolymer emulsion. It has applications as a moisture barrier coating in applications where continuous films can be achieved to optimize properties. It is suitable for use as a base coat or laminating adhesive for use in a variety of food packaging and industrial applications where MVTR is a desired property. Some suggested applications for the Ulterion® 614 MBC are roll wrap, laminated board, detergent boxes, and a moisture barrier base coat for food packaging.

FDA Status Ulterion® 614 MBC is composed of ingredients, which meet the requirements of FDA regulations 175.105 and 175.300. Products manufactured intended for use for the following regulations, 176.170 and 176.180 must utilize the Ulterion® 614 MBC as a base coat or a lamination adhesive.

Application Methods When compounding contact an Ulterion International Technical Representative for types and dosage levels of thickeners. This will depend on the properties desired and the process being used. Handling / Storage Stability The Ulterion® 614 MBC is a made to order product, which should be kept in Cool dry conditions. Storage temperatures above 90°F will decrease the shelf life considerably. Optimal storage conditions will yield a shelf life of 180 days from the date of manufacture.
