Life!

• What patients don't like when they look in the mirror has ALREADY motivated them into your office.
• They are open to change to correct what bothers them.
• How do we invite them to the menu of options that can improve their situation?– Educate them on how the face/skin ages– Listen to their expectations– Help them prioritize with respect to financial
constraints and/or readiness (they may need to start small)
You Have Motivated Patients

Ultherapy for theYoung Patient
• Not ready for a facelift – not enough laxity.• They may not see a lot of change, but they can
feel the changes in their skin and want to slow down/stop time.
• They can apply topical creams, but creams are not going to penetrate the deeper layers of skin to make positive changes they can feel or see.
• Ultherapy creates new collagen at multiple depths within the skin for a more multi-dimensional approach to preventative maintenance.
• Getting this patient into Ultherapy early on will keep them coming back every 1-2 years in hopes of staving off the need for a facelift.
Ultherapy for theNon-Surgical Patient• There will always be patients who are candidates for
surgery but just don’t want to go under the knife.• These patients have neglected their skin for years and
are looking for a miracle.• Ultherapy will not provide them immediate or drastic
results, but it is the only non-invasive procedure which reaches the same layers of skin as are addressed in a surgical facelift.
• Ultherapy creates new collagen at multiple depths within the skin for a more multi-dimensional approach to turn back the signs of time.
• This patient will likely need more than one treatment to get the results and will keep them coming back every 1-2 years for continued maintenance.
• Surgery does not affect the production of new collagen and thus has no affect on improving skin quality
• After surgery, patients continue to age. Ultherapy helps to slow this process by creating new collagen within the skin.
• New collagen produced by Ultherapy supports the architectural structure of the skin which in turn can maximize results.
• Ultherapy should be incorporated into the patient’s post-surgery care plan to maintain the investment they made in themselves with surgery.
• These patients should be coming back every 1-2 years for continued maintenance.
Ultherapy for thePost-Facelift Patient
• Not one single treatment of anything will stop time!
• No matter what procedure/category the patient chooses, they will need to do "something" at periodic intervals to maintain their initial result, because the skin continues to age; we call this Maintenance.
• What does the patient's Maintenance/ Aesthetic Care Plan look like?
Maintenance/AestheticCare Plans
• Be the Expert!• Know your product & their limitations.• Educate patients & address their concerns
with compassion (they buy where they feel most comfortable and get what they want).
• Use analogies to sell – patients can relate better to life experiences with which they are familiar.– Brushing your teeth– Working out– Growing a garden
