Teaching 2007 CELA (Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture) International Award of

Recognition for Excellence in Studio Teaching in Landscape Architecture.This international award recognizes excellence in design studio teaching among faculty of the eighty-four CELA member universities. It is an award that recognizes the awardee’s ability to direct studio projects that demonstrate outstanding quality and/or emphasize the critical thinking, creative process. Up to two awards are presented annually.

2005 The Clemson University Alumni Master Teacher 2005 Award.Each spring, Student Alumni Council coordinates the nomination and selection process of the Alumni Master Teacher Award. This award is given in recognition of outstanding undergraduate teaching. The Master Teacher receives a $2500 stipend, and is recognized at May graduation where he/she is presented with the Alumni Master Teacher award plaque.

2001 2001 Prince Award for Innovation in Teaching, Clemson University. $10,800 monetary award for purchasing books to be added to Gunnin Architectural Library collections and $1,000 stipend.The annual award, named for President Emeritus Philip Prince of Mount Pleasant, is supported by an endowment established in 1994 by Student Government with a $200,000 grant from the athletic department. The honor includes $1,000 for the recipient and a gift of the recipient’s choice for the University’s library. This award recognizes the teachers who are continuously using cutting edge techniques to attain excellence in teaching.
