THE FUTUREIS YOURS TO MOLD

FOUR S IMPLE STEPS TO BECOMING AUNIDOS AMBASSADOR

The countdown has begun!

On November 8th our country will elect a new

president. Choosing a president is always

important, but this year the stakes are especially

high. The candidates offer dramatically different

perspectives on the state of our nation and the

direction the United States should take in the future.

That’s why everyone needs to vote and why your

work as a Unidos Ambassador is so important. The

Unidos mobile app is a tool you can use to make

sure people in your community, at your school and

in your family register, vote and become informed

voters.

PAGE 3 MESSAGEAMBASSADOR GUIDE

As a Unidos Ambassador you’re at the forefront of

a national effort to ensure that the voices of

young Latinos are heard - loud and clear - on

Election Day.

Did you know that more than 3-million Latinx

millennials are eligible to vote for the first time this

year? Your job is to make sure everyone who is

eligible to vote casts his or her ballot in this historic

election.

So let’s get started. Here is what we ask you to do

between now and Election Day:

PAGE 4 MESSAGEAMBASSADOR GUIDE

Download the Unidos app to your iPhone, and

rate it in the app store. The more people that

rate it, the more attention it will get and the

more people who will register and vote.

Hold at least one event at your school (more if

you have time) to introduce Unidos to your

friends and fellow students. Remember

Unidos is a tool to start a conversation about

the importance of registering and voting.

Recruit at least four other people to be Unidos

Ambassadors to help spread the word about

registering, voting and becoming an informed

voter.

Follow Unidos on social media @unidosapp.

You know how important it is to vote and make your

voice heard. Unidos can help you start conversations

with others who still need some convincing or just need

a reminder to get moving before Election Day.

The Unidos news feed includes stories from news

sources outside the mainstream (in both Spanish and

English) that speak directly to people who are frustrated

with our political system and the media. Unidos doesn’t

pick sides. We provide a wide range of information and

then let you decide.

Some people say they don’t vote because the system is

confusing. Unidos offers short videos about voting and

links to the best websites where you can register and get

information on where and when to vote.

Others are turned off by how nasty politics has become.

Unidos response is a collection of emojis that reflect our

highest hopes for a better country. Some of the emojis

are serious and some are pretty funny. All are fun to

Latinx millennials make up nearly half of the eligible

Hispanic voters in this country. We are a force to be

reckoned with! Let’s use our power to choose our

leaders and help determine our country’s future. We can

do this Unidos!

Thank you for being a Unidos Ambassador. You are

doing important work for your school, your community

and our country. Unidos se puede,

John Rudolph

Now that you’ve gathered volunteers and you’ve

secured a space/table ready for attendance. Show up

and show out!

We’ve created a short checklist of things you’ll need to

help the event remain relaxed and fun. The point is to

get people registered and excited to vote!

REMEMBER, we have materials like postcards and

stickers to help with your outreach efforts. Please

connect with us at least two weeks in advance to

coordinate delivery!

We also encourage you to have voter registration

forms available for your state in both English and

Spanish.
