Sign up for UnifiedMeeting 5
• Required for anyone who needs to host audio & web conferences
• Visit http://scb.conferencing.com to sign up for an account
• You will receive login details via a welcome email within 24-48
hours of submitting a request. The welcome email will be sent
from [email protected]

UM Web Login
• Moderator/Participant
Login (Conference code)
• Moderator PIN (Password)

• Conference Code
• Leader PIN (4-digit)

Locate UnifiedMeeting 5 on your PC
To locate UnifiedMeeting 5 on your PC:
1) System tray on the bottom left > right click to Sign In:
OR
2) Go to Start > Programs > Unified Meeting > Unified Meeting:
NOTE:
If you are unable to locate
UnifiedMeeting 5 on your
computer or you are still
seeing the older version
of UnifiedMeeting, please
raise a ticket to ITSC to
update/install the
application.
First-time login
WHAT YOU NEED:
1) Unified Meeting 5 icon in your desktop system tray
2) Welcome email with Unified Meeting 5 login & password
FIRST TIME SETUP:
1) Right click Unified Meeting 5 icon
2) Select: Sign In
3) Enter Unified Meeting 5 username & password
(found in welcome email)
4) Tick: Always sign in automatically
5) Click: OK
After successful sign in:

Quick access to:
• Scheduling meetings
• Access the Conference Manager
• Start a scheduled or instant
meeting
• Check for software updates
• Add accounts for multiple user
scheduling
Schedule Meetings via Outlook
1) Open new appointment
2) Select: Insert Unified
Meeting 5 details from the
toolbar menu
3) Body of mail invite will
auto-populate with your
meeting information
Multiple Account Scheduling
From the Desktop icon or from
Outlook, you have the ability to
schedule meetings on behalf of
your colleagues.
1) Right click Unified Meeting 5icon
2) Select: Add Account
3) Add:
• User login/Conference code
• Description (Ex. Andy)
4) Now when scheduling a meeting, you will have a drop-
down list of accounts to schedule from
To start a scheduled or instant meeting:
1) Right click on system icon tray
2) Select Start Meeting
OR
1) Click on the link in your calendar invite

Join a Meeting - Participants
To join a meeting as a participant, click on the link in your email invite:
Joining the Audio Conference
1) Call Me: choose your country and enter a phone number to have the meeting call you
2) Dial In: view dial-in access number and conference code that you can dial
3) Already On Audio: should you already be connected
4) VOIP: join using your computer microphone and speakers
Join Audio via VOIP
• Hybrid meeting support: phone and VoIP participants in the same meeting
• “VOIP quality is contingent on bandwidth/data connection so revert to ‘Call Me’ if VOIP connection
is poor…”
Host Screen: Sharing options
1) Files & Applications: select from a list of applications or documents currently open
on your desktop (participants cannot see entire desktop)
2) Entire Screen: participants can see everything on your desktop. Select which
monitor if operating more than one screen
3) Screen Area: select an area of your desktop to share
4) Presentation: enables you to browse your files and share PowerPoint
presentations
Presentation share:
Manage Your Meeting
Moderators can access additional features by right
clicking on a participant
1) Rename
2) Move to sub conference
3) Private chat
4) Promote to presenter (participant
receives a notification)
Note: Participants must install the
Unified Meeting application in order to
be promoted to the Presenter role.
5) Mute/unmute
6) Dismiss participant
Participants can also request to present:
1) Right click on your name card
2) Select: Request to present
Manage Audio
To mute/unmute all participants, click Audio at the
top of the interface then select Mute/Unmute All.
The moderator can always see the voice
status of the participant in the panel.
To mute/unmute a participant, click the
voice icon next to the participant name.

Manage Your Meeting
Quick Invite
Allows moderators to invite
participants to join the
meeting via email or IM once
the meeting has started.
Chat
Chat privately by selecting
the chat icon on their
card. Or chat publically to
all by selecting the chat
box from the toolbar.
Promote to Presenter
Participants can be
promoted to a presenter
during a meeting so they
can share content from
their own computers.
Lock the Meeting Room Door
To close the meeting room door click the lock icon.
Red when locked
Green when unlocked
The moderator can screen participants in the waiting room
and then provide them access to the meeting one at a time.
Record Meeting
1) Click Record in the toolbar menu
2) Name the archive and select Audio and/or Web
3) Click Record
4) Click Stop to end the recording
5) Select download as a Zip file
Accessing the Archive
Archives will be available after the meeting ends.
They can be accessed via the Conference Manager, under the Meetings tab.
Exit Options
To end your meeting:
1) Select the Exit option from the toolbar.
2) Choose how you would like to disconnect participants.
Conferencing Etiquette
• Be on time or early to your call.
• Greet & identify yourself when you join/start a call.
• Briefly state the agenda.
• Mute your line when you are not speaking.
• Be sure you are in a quiet location where you will not be disturbed and try to minimise
background noise.
• Do not put your phone on hold as this may put music hold into the conference.
• If possible, always connect
• VOIP Best Practice: Invest in a good quality microphone or headset to get optimum
volume levels into SCB Unified Meeting. Don’t use a speakerphone or devices that can
degrade the capture and rendering of your voice.
Invoicing
• All calls are invoiced monthly as incurred on a per line per minute basis.
• This means that each connection consists of two components:
• Bridge Charge
• Transport Charge (toll free, local and speed dial numbers are chargeable, not free
of charge)

Event / Operator Assisted Calls
• Operator Assisted calls are booked in advance and designed for larger audiences/high profile
calls. Surround the call features include:
• Operator led call with opening scripts, managed Q&A, and closing
• Participant list
• Recording
• Transcription
• Recommended use cases:
• 25 or more people
• VIP speakers
• Town halls, internal communications & client update calls

Tips!
• Help reduce costs by joining from a meeting room (with 2+ individuals in the same location).
• For assistance during a live call press *0/00 to engage an operator individually/conference.
• Mute/unmute your line by pressing *6/#6.
• If you cannot locate your country dial in number, please dial the country closest to your location.
