Version 2 – 19/09/2017 Uniform Policy – corporate and sports apparel Purpose The primary objective of this policy is to ensure that all PCYC NSW employees are wearing a consistent uniform that portrays a professional brand image. Overview All PCYC NSW employees are an advertisement for the “PCYC” brand. Everything you wear and say reflects back to the image that we want to portray in the public arena. State office has provided a selection of both sportswear and corporate uniform, these current suppliers are ISC (sportswear) and Sports Apparel (corporate). No other suppliers are to be used to source sportswear and corporate wear – without the express permission of the marketing department. As advised in 2016, these are the only uniforms you can wear while working. Older uniforms are not to be worn or seen in public Scope This policy applies for all PCYC NSW employees (excluding Police officers) who work during PCYC hours or are at functions where they are supporting or are contributing to the awareness of PCYC NSW. This is reflected through both the sportswear and the corporate wear. Please speak to your manager or HR if you are unsure of the uniform type you should be wearing. Enterprise Agreements Statement UNIFORM: Full-time, part-time and temporary employees must wear PCYC uniform in the workplace. PCYC will provide 3 corporate shirts/tops, 2 pants/skirts and 1 corporate jumper or jacket: - after successful completion of the probation period (6 Months), and - in January of each following year, or on a fair wear and tear basis. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT PCYC will take all practicable steps to ensure the safety of all employees while at work in accordance with Work Health and Safety laws. It is expected that employees will take all practicable steps to ensure that no action or inaction by an employee(s) while at work causes harm to themselves or any other person or employee(s). All employees must ensure that all safety procedures are adhered to at all times. PCYC shall provide, free of charge to employees or reimburse employees, the cost of protective clothing and safety equipment subject to approval by direct supervisor. Employees must use all safety and approved protective equipment or clothing provided and will not misuse any equipment, plant or process that is provided to ensure workplace health and safety. Employees must comply with all safety rules and procedures and policies of NSW PCYC as varied from time to time or disciplinary action may be taken. Employees must report to management as soon as possible, any accidents, incidents or hazards arising during the course of employment. If an employee has any concerns in relation to personal safety or the safety of others in PCYC, they are to report them to the safety officer or appropriate manager who will take all practicable steps to provide and maintain a safe work environment. All protective clothing and safety equipment issued shall remain the property of PCYC and shall be returned where required on termination of employment before termination pay is processed. - Section 1 - Appropriate clothing State Office: Note: Staff are allowed to wear appropriate (personal) business attire or they can wear the PCYC corporate uniform (preferred). State office are asked to wear the PCYC-branded corporate clothing most of the time. If not worn, then the following items are the only items that are to be considered: The following items is classified as corporate uniform. Uniform Policy – corporate and sports apparel

- Business button up shirts - Business tops - Business pants or skirts (to the knee). Shortest acceptable length is 5 cm above the top of knee

cap. - Smart dress/business dress - Business shoes or business flats - Suit jacket - Wool cardigan, jumper or vest

The ISC sportswear polo shirt can be worn as long as it is fitted with corporate pants and skirt and with business shoes. See Appendix B. Clubs: All club staff are to wear PCYC uniform at all times - either corporate or activewear. It is the Club Managers discretion as to whether staff are wearing PCYC corporate or activewear. The range that you should be wearing is to be provided by state office. No other suppliers are to be used to source activewear, sportswear and corporate wear – without the express permission of the marketing department. All club staff are an image of PCYC, and the clothing must reflect our brand in the market. All uniforms are to be cleaned, ironed and without stains. The only exception to this is new employees who are waiting for their order of clothing to arrive or are serving their probation period. In the meantime, please speak to your club manager for appropriate clothing guidelines that should be worn in the interim. The following items are the range that is provided by state office and should be purchased after your probation: Activewear/ Sportswear:

- ISC sport shirt – either collar or no collar - ISC shorts and long pants OR black sport tights - ISC jumper and jacket - ISC cap

Corporate : Men:

- Business Shirts with buttons – Blue or White - Business black or grey pants/slacks - Suit jacket (club managers only) - Wool jumpers or vest – Navy and Grey

Ladies :

- Business button up shirts - Business tops - Business pants or skirts (to the knee). Shortest acceptable length is 5 cm above the top of knee

cap. - Suit jacket (club managers only) - Wool cardigan, jumper or vest

For pants, you are to wear the ISC sportswear or corporate wear that is provided. If you choose to provide your own pants the following can be used as appropriate clothing: With ISC sportswear shirt:

- Black, grey or beige business pants and chinos - Black or grey gym shorts or business shorts - Black track pants or black tights

Corporate wear:

- Business shirt or business top - Business suit jacket - Black, grey or beige business pants and chinos

All are examples of appropriate uniforms: Sport shirt with sport pants, and shorts OR business pants and skirt.

Footwear: Footwear must be worn at all times when on club premises. The only exception is Martial arts and this is at the Club Managers discretion.

- All state office staff are to wear business shoes or business flats. - All club employees are to wear business shoes or business flats or sport footwear, e.g. joggers.

Inappropriate footwear is mentioned in Section 2. Presentation/ Hygiene: Every employee is expected to practice daily hygiene and good personal presentation habits.

- Hair should be clean, combed, and neatly trimmed or arranged. Sideburns, moustaches, and beards should be neatly trimmed.

- Make-up must be professional and conservative. Make up should not be excessive - Natural and day time make-up is preferred.

- Hands and nails should be clean and conservatively manicured. - Employees may wear tasteful jewellery in moderation. The size and/or number of earrings, rings,

necklaces, and bracelets may be determined at the department level based on specific job functions, operational, and safety factors. Where job duties present any type of safety risk, jewellery may be prohibited or severely limited. In other areas, moderate (including size and amount) jewellery may be worn.

- Tattoos and Body Art– As an inclusive and progressive youth organisation we accept the individuals rights to self-expression through Tattoo’s or Body Art. That said, we are a youth organisation and respect and citizenship are fundamental values and as such should any version of self-expression violate our values, child safety or WHS requirements the individual may be required to cover up or protect that area.

Section 2- Inappropriate clothing

Remember that everything that you wear is a representation of PCYC’s brand. All uniforms must be from the 2016 range of colours and style. No uniforms from the past can be worn from this day moving forward. This includes all corporate, activewear, and sportswear uniforms. All items of clothing are subject to negotiation with your manager, but should not be worn as a permanent item of clothing: Men:

- Pants: high-branded pants, denim jeans, cargo shorts, board shorts, footy shorts, fashion ripped pants, leather pants, short shorts

o Pants cannot expose your underwear. - Shirts: T-shirts, old PCYC uniforms shirts that were provided prior to the 2016 make-over.

o Corporate shirts must be buttoned up so that your chest is not exposed o Shirts must be tucked in

- Jackets: Trench coats, branded names - Footwear: Thongs, ugg boots, scruffs, Crocs, casual sneakers - Jackets: Branded jackets, trench coats

Ladies:

- Pants/skirts: high-branded pants, skirts that are too short (just above the knee is appropriate), denim jeans, skirts that have patterns on them, short shorts, fashion ripped pants, leather pants

o Pants that expose your underwear - Shirts:

o Tops that expose the cleavage or belly o Tops that show your bra

- Jackets: Trench coats, branded names
