Jeff KoonsWe went to the Serpentine
gallery in Hyde Park to
look at the work of JeffKoons. His art is a mixture
of contemporary,
surrealism and pop art.
All of his paintings looked like
photographs and had
amazing details. The
inflatable looked real but
they were actually made
of aluminum, you justwanted to touch them.

Most of his art work isinspired by AndyWarhol and Roy
Liechtenstein, fames
pop art artists. But also
by Marcel Duchamp whowas the first artist
who put everyday
objects into paintings.

After looking inside the
gallery we went out
to ask people whohave just seen the
exhibition if they
enjoyed it.
All answers werepositive and all the
people said that if
Koons had any more
exhibitions they woulddefiantly like to go and
see them.

One of my favorite paintings
was of Popeye which was
made in 2003. It was
really colorful and
attractive and for me it
stood out the most. In this
painting Koons used oil
paints on canvas. This
exhibition was defiantly
one of the most
interesting and
unforgettable ones I have
seen.

Case Study: Time OutTime out is a magazine designed to
show people what is going on in the
places around you. The title Time Out
speaks to you, its saying that you
should sit down, take a break and
read the magazine. This guide is
designed for people aged 18-40/50(depends on the person) also its
written for people who like to have
fun, try new things and who are not
afraid to experiment with their
life's. Every Time Out magazine
comes with a theme, this on shows
east London, but there are ones
which tell you were you can eat,
travel, party, and have fun.

Lexi Cinema VisitIt was really quit interesting, when we got there the cinema
looked quit small and like achurch that just had the name
Lexi in pink on the wall. But
inside it was really modern and
colorful. Most of it was pink
and purple but the ceiling hadthis little color changing lights
that looked like bubbles. Also it
was quit big it held up to 80
people. It was very
comfortable with soft sets anda small red sofa in the front.
Also the place smelled really
nice, like popcorn and sweets.

On some of the days different
things happened, like on
Mondays its mothers and
babies day and they only playmovies for mothers and
babies. We were told that
this was so mothers could go
to the cinema with their
babies and dont feelembarrassed or have to
leave if the baby starts
crying. In my opinion this is
not that good because the
valium is quieter, the lightare not off all the way and
one baby crying might
disturb another baby and
mother.Next

Other things I found out:
The projector costs about 50000 and can show 3D movies but
the screen is a white screenand for 3D movies you need asilver screen which is reallyexpensive.
The cinema opened a year agoand most of the profit goes to
charities in Africa. The cinema gets their movies
from CT Screen who also says ifthe movie can be played thereor not.
You can have privet parties andthat can be arranged over thephone or internet.
They use new technology: livesatellite, can play DVDs and BlueRay DVDs.

In4merzIn4merz was set up by Clare.
She came to the school and
told us a bit about it, also shetold us how she got her job.
She got 12 GCSEs and at the
beginning did not know what
she wanted to be. She did her work experience
in a P.R company.
She noticed that she has
good arguing skills so she
went to university to study
law, she was the first
person in her family to go to
university.Next

was not her thing, she went
back to that P.R company and got
a job there.
Now she has a P.R company of

Erik Hassle
When me and Alex walked in to the school,
from far we saw some of the girls
walking with Erik to the class room. So
we joined them. On the way to the class
room we all introduced each other and as
soon as we got in to the class we started
all talking.
He told us that he always wanted to do
football but his mum was a teacher at his
school and she made him join the music
class. He really started to enjoy it andlater went to a music high school. But he
said that he still would like to do football.
He told us about his music and some of the
stories behind them. He said that the
words are close to him and sometimes to
the people he knows.

My favourite workshop was
with the street theatre.
They told us that they
really enjoy their job. They
have to dress up as
different characters and
act on the street. They
get about 100 per day.
They said that the best
thing about it is that they
dont have to do much,
they have fun and they
make others happy.
