Essay Topic◦In short, you will be taking a stance on whether or not you think a nation can be both MULTICULTURAL in makeup and UNIFIED as one nation.◦You will develop an argument (like in a persuasive essay) with specific examples that support your stance.◦You may use the primary sources in the textbook on pages 182-183 only OR you may incorporate credible sources from your own research.

Filling out the Worksheet◦For today, begin with the Primary Source worksheet, where you will read each of the sources (A-E) and answer some basic questions to check for understanding.◦Tomorrow, you will begin working on the essay rough draft by completing the next two pages.◦Wednesday & Thursday we will be going to the media center to type the final draft of the essay.
