The students who are interested to achieve the highest scores on English part in admission exams are highly recommended to follow the instructions of this suggestion. This suggestion on English is for all the admission exams in public universities all around Bangladesh.

The syllabus here arranged is based on the admission exam methods. There are included those grammatical chapters from which you will get more questions in your exam. This suggestion is only guidance for the applicants to do better in English part.

Most of the students get confused of the proper selections of English grammatical chapters especially in case of English part. So, I assure you that you should learn the rules of the grammatical chapters included here. Because, this contents is arranged based on the admission exams of previous years. If you learn these chapters properly, you must be confident to achieve the highest marks in exam on English part.

21 Phrasal verbs or

Group verbs

Like appropriate preposition, you have to memorize the different phrasal verbs. This will give you more clear idea of the usages of prepositions. This is optional part for question.

22 Spelling It is the item that will make you most confused. You will get about 2 questions from this item.

23 Idioms and phrases

Learn the most popular phrases from here. You have to find out the right meaning of a phrase or idioms in a sentence. This is optional part for question.

24 Analogy

For this section, you must have a great stock of vocabulary. You have to find out the relationship between two groups of words here.

25 Synonyms and

Antonyms

Most of the students get less number for this part. You have to study a dictionary on Synonyms and Antonyms for doing better in this part. Most importantly, you will get more than 3 questions from this section.

26 Usages of modal-auxiliary verbs

Right forms of verb will be set as an question item from this lesson. This is optional part for question.

27 Subjunctives Here, you have to memorize some words which has different rules in case of using in a sentence. This is an optional item.

28 Word Formations (noun-verb-adjective-

From this topic, you must get more than 3 questions and here, you have to choose the right form of the part of speeches as directed in the question.

Practicing the questions of previous exams

Every year more than 30% questions are repeated from the questions of previous years. So, if you want to get common items in exam, you have to study the questions of admission exams of previous years under Dhaka university, Buet, Ruet, Rajshahi university, Chittagong university and other public universities. Besides, for better output, you may study the questions of BCS exams and job exams of various public organizations.

Reading English Newspapers

The last part of your preparation strategy is reading English daily newspaper. You must read The Daily Star for better performance. Because, the language and structure pattern of this newspaper is the best and most standard among all other newspapers. You must read the newspaper regularly and study the unknown or new word from

there. Besides, you have to notice the sentence structures from there. Remember, newspaper uses always updated English. So, by reading newspaper, you may be confident that your competence of language is updated and enriched.

Use Samsad Dictionary for the word meaning from English to Bengali. Study the question patterns from the language books both from Cliffs and
